Yes he looks like his Dad and no mistake, but have you ever noticed how much he takes after his Mom too? His facial bone structure and his eyes are so like Diana Douglas. A wonderful mixture of his Mom and his Dad. And the love they have for each other is so very special.

He fought in World War 2, paid immeasurable dues as both a stage and film actor, donated millions of dollars to various causes and is an amazing father and grandfather. He's born the same decade as my great grandmother. He's 5 years younger. Actually thought my great grandmother was born in 1909 for awhile. She always seemed to say she was older than her actual age. Wasn't until after she died I found out she was born in 1911. She also lived a long time. Not as long as Kirk of course. It's rare for people to live to 103.

Kirk reminds me of my own Father. Never knew a day he didn't kiss me and asked, 'have you eaten? are you well'? His sincerity and kindness has followed me all these years. People are not perfect, but to be loving is a great character trait of a man!
What’s even more remarkable is that Kirk Douglas continued to act into his golden years. He finally retired in 2008 at the age of 92. I would like to see Michael stay in showbiz for that long.

After the stroke he got himself going again learned to speak and had a one man show at some point. Great human being together with his wife hey found the motivation to live and help and influence others.
People pretend that being a 100 years old is the ultimate and last goal to achieve in your whole life.
I can say that today december 9th 2016, Kirk Douglas achieved this last goal. He is 100 years old now and is still full of common sense (his speech on Trump being elected).

Truly the only thing that stopped Kirk was time. He kept his faculties until the very end, just imagine if his body stayed the same from 75 onward. He could’ve lived another 25 years easy. And considering most people who would’ve had a stroke at that age would’ve died, Kirk was indeed an abundance of life. Good journey Kirk.

I have always LOVED both of these guys starting from "Spartacus" then through "Streets of San Francisco" and up to 2018 I've watched just about everything that both of these actors have starred in. I have the utmost respect for their beautiful father/son relationship and I named my son Michael after Michael Landon and Michael Douglas.... two of my favs!!!
