Vibe Savoy Hotel Melbourne | Where to Stay in Melbourne Australia

The Vibe Savoy Hotel Melbourne is a 4 star hotel located on 630 Little Collins Street. This hotel in Melbourne is in a great location as it is right opposite Southern Cross Station. Here you can catch interstate and regional trains. Coach buses to regional areas as well as the Skybus which will take you from the city to the airport or vice versa. There are also metro trains here, car hire companies such as Avis. Lockers to store your luggage. Lots of fast food restaurants, supermarkets and DFO (direct factory outlets) for some cheap shopping. Just behind here is Etihad Stadium (soon to be called Marvel Stadium) for sporting and entertainment events. Walking distance from the hotel is the Docklands. The time I stayed in July the Docklands was having their Firelight Festival. It is also possible to walk to one of Melbourne top tourist attractions the Melbourne Wheel. The facilities at the Vibe Savoy Hotel Melbourne include a bar, where you can get local and international drinks. A spa, gym and restaurant. Although the restaurant is only open for its buffet breakfast (at time of making the video the breakfast was $19 per person). The buffet breakfast was OK for the price. The Vibe Hotel does offer room service (see video for the menu). Generally I found the food at the Vibe Savoy Hotel pretty good.
Rooms at the Vibe Savoy Hotel in Melbourne start from the Queen Guest Room. In the video I show the King Guest Room and the Suite Room. The King room was stylish and comfortable to stay at. Rooms have free Wi-Fi, stocked mini bar, snacks, in room safe, limited cable channels and ironing board and iron. The Suite room is one of the largest I’ve stayed at. It’s huge! If you join the TFE mailing list, they will update you when there are room sales at this hotel. Otherwise check comparison booking sites such as Trivago, TripAdvisor or HotelsCombined.
For a decent hotel in Melbourne, the Vibe Savoy Hotel is an OK choice. I did have some niggly issues as shown in the video, but overall I’d rate this hotel as somewhere between average and above average.
