After defeating him, every time you go back to hiss boss fight, he appears as a rotting corpse, however if you taunt 3 times at his boss door and then enter it, you will be able to fight him again, leaving or beating him again will turn him into a rotting corpse again, but you can revive him as many times as you want.
I mean, I personally think it would be cool if he fought Peppino so the Noise’s story could take place at the same time as Peppino’s, like shovel knight plague of shadows, but this is kind of funny too.

To refight him, you just have to taunt 3 times while standing at the boss gate.
