    To the people saying the "Bad Blood" is clickbait, you should know this match should've happened way earlier. Hirata kept missing weight, causing the match to be postponed. Ham was rightfully pissed off, and decides to cancel the match altogether instead of doing it at Catchweight, because she wanted to make Hirata "feel ashamed of herself", plus calling her out on her lack of professionalism.

      Hirata missed weight three times in her short career at One. She "got away" with it twice before because her earlier opponents agreed on Catchweight. When Hirata didn't make weight for the first fight with Ham, Hirata wasn't apologetic at all about missing weight. It should be an embarrassment for a fighter to miss weight in one fight but 3??? Ham had to make a really tough decision to cancel the fight to show Hirata what she was doing was super unprofessional. Commentator Mitch Chilson might know better than me, but I kinda thought the reason why Ham kept inching to her right and following Hirata instead of to the left to cut her off was less about ring position and more about position against your opponent. Ham wasn't trying to get Hirata against the cage but was just avoiding Hirata's power side. Against an orthodox stance, inching to your right makes more sense, right?

      What Itsuki should've been doing was looking to stay moving forward. If they rematch in MMA then the corner needs to tell Itsuki to adjust and go be the aggressor and really look for her own offense and look to get her into the cage and her corner needs to tell Itsuki to go after throws, that's her strong suit with her judo and wrestling background and that's what she wasn't using enough.

      I agree 100%
      Hirata . I like her spirit but she has no stand up game ! When you watch her fights they all have the same theme, she tries ( and usually fails ) to get the take down until her opponent gets tired or makes a mistake , then Hirata burns a ton of energy holding them down to secure a submission or get a decision instead of softening them up with strikes. It makes it very easy to come up with a game plan “ sprawl and strike” which is what the Korean did. It reminds me of what happened to jiu jitsukas when world class wrestlers like dan Henderson and Kevin randleman became great punchers. Until Hirata expands her toolkit ( or capsule corp. kit) she’s only android 18 on the ground, but on the feet .? She’s more like bulma 😜

    • @Newbtuber
      @Newbtuber Před 11 měsíci +5

      @@Jedi_Mind_ She isnt even that good on the ground. She relied in her career the Judo throw to get people to the ground. In modern MMA, it is not recommended since you give up your back if the opponent has any decent grappling (which 90% of women MMA fighter does not). It is used more as a surprise factor but she became dependent on it and the opponent she lost to previously exploited this.
      Which is why she has stop going for it but without it, she is absolute garbage as seen in this fight. Since she has zero wrestling and zero striking. If you watch her past 3 fights, he has attempted less then 3 judo throw. While previously, all her wins was due to judo throws.

      She's screwed either way. Her stand up is pretty much non-existent, and her first loss against Jihin Radzuan pretty much showed where her level is in terms of wrestling/grappling.

It reminds me of what happened to jiu jitsukas fought world class wrestlers like dan Henderson and Kevin randleman became great punchers. Until Hirata expands her toolkit ( or capsule corp. kit) she’s only android 18 on the ground, but on the feet .? She’s more like bulma 😜

    • @zanebentonii3209
      @zanebentonii3209 Před 11 měsíci

      I disagree. This kind of Hirata was attacking the weapons checking her opponents hands and feet while taking some punches to the back of the head I think the other fighter could have shown better control. There are a lot of fighters that need to attack the weapons like they were trained to do.

    • @Jedi_Mind_
      @Jedi_Mind_ Před 8 měsíci +1

      That’s funny @@zanebentonii3209 , because even itsuki herself would disagree with you, in her interviews ( Japanese language ) she AND her Coaches ( both u.s. and japan) concur, “She needs to improve her striking amongst other things” and if you listen to the pre-fight interviews with her opponents where the journalist asks her opponent “what’s your game plan “ it’s usually some version of “ .... i’m going to stand in strike with her because that’s her weakness and let her burn energy trying to take me down at the end of the round and the bell will save me from the submission” You mentioned her checking punches and kicks, but checking strikes is what we call a NECESSARY but not SUFFICIENT condition for being a top level fighter. The name of the game is to make your opponent MISS then COUNTERSTRIKE them, not absorb punishment then get frustrated and try to take them down . checking strikes is an inferior strategy to that because you’re still absorbing punishment and that could count as points on the judges score cards. But itsuki does none of that because she spends the whole fight chasing grabbing and trying to pull her opponent to the ground, Burning energy trying to get a submission on opponent that hasn’t been softened up with strikes and then .........the bell rings 😜🤪😜
      So android 18 needs to get an upgrade from capsule corporations 😂

      What's even more funny is that your using this answer and you know I did not use the word perfect in any of part of my comment. SHe is a better fighter than most when she keeps this technique is her arsenal.

    • @Jedi_Mind_
      @Jedi_Mind_ Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@zanebentonii3209 Your responses are a textbook example of a non sequitur.
      I don’t know if you’re intentionally trying to obscure the issue or if it’s really that difficult for you to grasp. I couldn’t help but notice that you’ve dodged virtually every point that I brought up so I’ll restate them for you
      * itsuki said her striking needs improvement
      * itsuki’s Japanese and American coaches said her striking needs improvement
      * itsuki’s opponents said her striking needs improvement
      * The two commentators at oneFC said itsuki’s striking needs improvement
      Now I’m not sure if I can make it any simpler than that , now you can disagree all you want, and you can “Think“ she’s the better fighter all you want. But the statistics don’t lie and you’re going to have to make valid arguments and refute the points that I have just stated above. Here I’ll help you out buddy, The next time you respond let your arguments start out like this...
      * itsuki doesn’t need to improve her striking because...........
      Unless you can put a valid argument to complete that line of thought it’s really pointless to argue the point, and you’re not responding to any point that I’ve made. Maybe you’re confusing this comment thread with something else that you’ve heard sign some other video ...????
      Now that would be even funnier than both of your responses put together 😂🤣
      And what the hell is your comment about “perfect“ Where are you getting that from ?? 😂🤣🤣

    Hirata continues to demonstrate a lack of standup skills. She's a great grappler, but her inability to box has been her downfall. Well, "inability" might be a poor choice of words. Let's say, lack of finesse.
