    You forgot to mention that Combat Probes can also be used for finding things like Wrecks and Drones. Can actually be fun to practice scanning as a new player and earn some ISK salvaging abandoned wrecks and scoop up lost combat drones.

    another important tip is to always have another 8 x Scanning Probes in your ship's cargo. then they will automatically reload when you deploy loaded probes and you won't have to do it manually. saves a lot of time

    You are a LIFESAVER!
    I was going insane trying to figure out the scanning process. I bet I moved around my probe 50x before I got it to 100%.
    Thank you so much!

    Very nice, started this game 11 years ago. But never managed to really succeed as a lone wolf. I think I even made it to a capital ship which I lost instantly to few players in puny Ladas in a 0.5 system I travelled through. The only thing I'm missing from this video is the printing ISK part. I did solo missions to earn money

    You can also increase or decrease the probe radius with alt+scroll wheel up/down anywhere on the game view.

    How do you move the whole map? To recenter it on probes. When I click drag it rotates instead.

    After a signature has been scanned to 100% and it turns green, is it now available to be seen by any other player even if they did not scan it? So they could rush to it, in a faster ship, and be waiting there ahead of you? Or would they have to scan the signature themselves first to be able to see it and have the option to warp to it?

    • @slimblues
      @slimblues Před 6 měsíci +2

      Pretty sure they have to scan themselves

    • @EmisjaProgramu
      @EmisjaProgramu Před 6 měsíci +1

      no, every signature that requires probe scan needs to be scanned again by other playerss so they cannot rush you once you scan it, they need to scan it again, also on the directional ship scanner if you know how to use it properly, if someone is scanning your location in directional scanner set it to short range around 0.5 to 1-2 AU so you will spot probes in the list of the near ships/probes in that range what will help you to escape if someone is searching for you

      @@ShaftyMegee what I’m saying is that after I scan idk what to do. It’s always a wormhole that leads me nowhere

    • @ShaftyMegee
      @ShaftyMegee Před 7 měsíci +2

      Oh you won't always find wormholes. You don't even have to fully scan them down. If I'm not looking for wormholes I just ignore it and move onto the next anomaly. Keep looking for relic and data sites. You'll find them

    • @ShaftyMegee
      @ShaftyMegee Před 7 měsíci +3

      @osamabonjovi6764 and you can explore wormholes too just make sure you leave bookmarks at each wormhole

      @@osamabonjovi6764recall probes. Go in WH. you scan within the WH. Then you will see Relic or Data sites. You will need a relic or data analyzer. You hack those sites. But Google which WH and sites are safe. They're are some that will insta kill you. Like sleeper sites. If you do hack them (you get two chances) you can then loot them. Also some people go into gas and ice huffing ... if you are really set up, you can set up shop and take control of the WH.

    horribly bad info. All based on an Omega account. There is nothing beginner about this. I tried and spent a week, and well over 10 million to get the ships and parts, just to leave the dock. Beginner beware.
