i'm reading leo tolstoy's 'war and peace' at the moment and i have these classical pieces by russian composers help me immerse into the story. it is truly disheartening how this russian author was so against war-as anyone should be-and the juxtaposition of current events. those who profit from war do not deserve peace.

Excellent choice. Do you know Alexander Scourby's impressive reading of "War and Peace"? (available on the internet, and fragmentary on You Tube)
