Very true, but imagine if the crew just fired on a boat and then Edward says “Dammit, I was going to say spare them!!” and the grew just says “Sorry, just instinct”
I really like how there's crew members running around doing stuff in this. In the Odyssey E3 gameplay, the crew members just stood in a line the entire time
yes u r correct but some crew members would jump on deck. most of them would just stand.
The logic in assassins creed Odyssey is very unreal. Same with the naval battles, I try to have fun by boarding other people’s ships, and kicking the enemies on my ship to see what my guys could do. It’s very expensive to even get better equipment, for my crew, too.
Well the only reason that happens is because on trireme the crew is below deck rowing, the people on deck would mostly fight or pull the sails when needed and even then it was a very simple sail to operate in that sense.

Ubisoft really needs to make another game like this. Doesn't have to be Assassin's Creed. Really love the naval battle

For me, this is one of the best AC ever made. I hope they release a remake of this or remaster but properly done, or even a new game would be grate but with similar characteristics, it would be great.
This is one of the main reasons I can't stop playing ACR, simply heading out on a casual sunny day for a cruise,, and ten minutes later, defending every shreaded floating splinter of what's left of your ship, just to get 3 mortars to defend yourself, and you pull it off against a fleet of Man O Wars. Thank God for burning Oil Slick...
Now to be fair, boarding a Man O War should get you 10 rounds of mortars, vs 2-3. And fully restoring your ship from the last Red blinking LED of life.
One thing for sure, the art details in this version appear to be much better than even ACR Remastered.

That one unnamed pirate with the scratchy voice had some of the most authentic-sounding voice acting I’ve heard in a game.
Love this game so much. When Ubisoft revealed Skull and Bones I was so hyped, only to have it crushed minutes later when they said multiplayer game... Still hope they will make a Skull and Bones game that is single player story driven.
I still think Skull & Bones will be great fun even if it’s very multiplayer centric. And who knows, they might add stuff like story mode or vs AI

Just downloaded the PS4 version. Used to play it on PS3 but it was on a massive discount for 6€ and I just love the little details like the extra smoke in the naval battles as of compared to PS3 graphics.

it's looking quite obvious you are right.
What's not clear, is this a Console or PC?
I wish I grabbed this version vs ACR-Remastered. I Expected much more from all the hype, but options depended on that they removed - really ruined the total experience removing your status from world leader board.
*** That was the main key how you ranked across the world of players, and your friends locally, is now erased.
So I end up back on PS3's version of ACR, just to view where we are in the top ten. Which without that view, it takes the fun & incentive out of why we play.
PS4 Pro - the main reason for 4K, for GTSPORT, and ACR Remastered.
Sadly, Remastered version at 4k is not that impressive on 70" , but GTSPORT is Truly Remarkable. When you're a punk 60 something, you notice stuff,,, : )

I've noticed ship details in Black Flag that ACR doesn't show, even to the steering - rope drum at hand wheel is actually functional for steering.
