But Crosses still burn (the symbol of the Klu Klux Klan) and axes still falling (Beheading, religious killings, especially important these days with ISIS) are what they're referring to. Crosses to bend doesn't even make sense.
Even if you think it makes sense, you can just look up the lyrics and show that it's simply not the case.

This song was perfectly written for a live performance. The crowd grows 20 feet tall when this starts. This is Billy Talents " Detroit Rock City ". Hearing this live is phenomenal. The studio version doesnt do it justice

Singer is soooo animated, actually loves his music and gets into it, not just standing out there for a check, just wants to rock out.
This is one of those kind of songs thats better than many others with billions of more views but it has nothing in comparison. We seriously we need to change that. Not even joking here.

I was at Novarock 2022 and saw them live for the first time.
Everytime I listen to this song with headphones on, I feel the other people's arms striving me, the body vibrating from the jumping crowd and the hands of those who carried me on my first crowdsurf.
Every time I hear a song off Dead Silence, it takes me back to when I was still a kid, back when the album was released in 2012, seeing them live, and leaving the concert half-deaf, with a mile-wide grin.
Suffice to say I didn't go to school the next day, since I was up half the night bangin' my head to Billy Talent.
This song is one of those truely amazing songs that you can listen to over and over again and not get tired of it.

I listen to Punk, Pop-Punk, Metal, and Hard Rock. Billy Talent is a combination of Hardcore, and Post Punk. When i play this on my guitar, i literally FEEL THE SONG. Try playing this song without banging your head. I can obviously see, your are not a musician bro...But you do enjoy metal.
I can see what you're saying. But I would label these guys as borderline Post-Hardcore. And I would say that their first album is heavy. But not their fourth, even though they tried to make their fourth sound like their first. And of course I could headbang to this. I'm just saying buy comparison to like Heavy Metal or like Metalcore, Deathcore, I wouldn't consider them heavy. I not disrespecting the band in anyway. They're a band I grew up with. One of my fav bands in the world. I'm just saying I don't think they're "Heavy" is all.

Honestly, Cut The Curtains was truly heavy, though i agree that they arent heavy compared to Skillet or Bullet For My Valentine. They tried as hard as they could on this album to make it heavy. Those tambourines in it make way to poppy even without those, the guitarist doesnt have enough distortion, not only that, they need another guitarist for an extra wall of sound and so that each song they make tailored to the guitarist isnt incomplete, although Pins And Needles was fine. Even then they still will not be that heavy, but in my opinion, i think it would help.
Yeah I always wished they had another guitarist. Music would sound more full.

Recently had a conversation with a Canadian friend/Eso guild member of mine about Billy Talent and it has made me want to listen to them more again.
A lot of this footage was recorded in my home town, Würzburg in Germany. Absolut amazing, as is the song!
The outdoor footage was Rock am Ring 2012, I remember it vividly. The sun going down as they were belting this song out.

+Rolacon They're pretty big in Europe and Canada, it's mostly the States that have ignored them. They decided that instead of trying to spread their appeal to American tastes, they'd double down on the audience they have now, so if you're not hearing them a lot, don't expect that to change.
We came out to early in 2005 when streaming wasn't too big that's why unfortunate Canada doesn't got a bid music scene

I don't understand why ppl say this is underrated, just because the video was less clicked than a Ed Grande video. I'll tell you what folks: CZcams views are no measurement for the quality of the music. For me it has the highest rate i could give, thats why i listen to it for about 13 years now.
Anyone remember when this album came out and you were hearing it for the first time, and after that opening song, you were full of excitement and also unsure if you’d be disappointed as many bands don’t age well, and with each passing song you are pleased to find you’re still a raging fan. Crosses still burn, axes still fall.
Love the rhythm section of this song, the backing vocal so harmonies, the guitar solo tho, the spirit, over all this is a good punk rock song.

Billy Talent is one of the few acts left that's been keeping good rock music alive in North America. It's alive and well in Europe, but shit's just dying out on this side of the pond.
