@danielsdaniel1668 Run with the wind is a 1 season, 23 episode series. It won't get a second season as it is a complete story with an ending. @@ShoemakerPowerHour The final arc is arguably the best arc in all of Haikyuu, if they scrap it and end it with the next movie I’ll be extremely disappointed
Do you think with the major success of this movie, we will get an additional movie or even a final season? Other than the anime movie trend going around, covid probably had a huge part in the decision to try wrap up haikyu due to the lack of resources. However, with this film showing haikyu's popularity in numbers [in people and money], what do you think? And if not, what do you think will get adapted in the last movie based on this one? This match is my favourite and the fast pace panelling in the manga looks like it translated well in the film. Thank you for your quick review!
I think it is definitely a possibility to get a third movie or a final small season (10-12 episodes). Since I haven't read the manga, I'm unaware of how much material is still left to adapt. But it definitely feels as though they can't do everything in 1 more movie. Unless they make some drastic cuts/changes. I'm hoping that because of the films success, we get as much content as possible 🙏 I definitely plan on seeing it 1 or 2 more times in the next week or two 😤🏐🧡
Haikyu was one of the few first anime I watched when I got Introduced to anime and I absolutely fell in love with it, as a volleyball player myself during my high school days I really felt a connection with haikyu, from watching on a mobile phone to tv I can't wait to experience this movie on the big screen, after seeing your review now I'm even more hyped for this movie.

Be sure to let me know what you thought if you get the chance :) I had a similar experience with Kuroko's Basketball being one of the first anime I've watched when I was a senior in High School. I played basketball at the time and thought it was one of the most hype experiences ever. Starting Haikyu right after gave me a similar feeling of excitement even though I was unfamiliar with a lot of volleyball.
@@ShoemakerPowerHour The movie will release on 31st may in my country, I already booked the tickets for 2nd June I'll let you know about my movie experience, I can't wait !!!!
I reckon haikyuu needs an ova for the fukorodani match then that will lead into a movie focused on the kamomedai match then a final season to top off the timeskip arc.
Did you watch this movie in Japan or has it been released to other regions yet? I’m in Australia and it’s painful knowing how long I might have to wait to get a subbed version released
Hrmm, I just managed to catch the first screening of the movie in my area and I'm left with some mixed opinions. Pacing wise the movie just felt weird to me and I'll try my best to express those feelings. I felt things moved at too quick of a pace, moments that shook up the game by creating another problem to solve weren't given the proper space to breathe and let us get in the characters headspace before someone came up with an answer. Some of flashbacks also mesed with the pacing, rather than giving the current scenes more room to breathe we're flashing back to events we've already seen in order to set up the next character interaction. It just really pulled me out of the moment in a very jarring way and I wish more of that time had been given to letting the newer scenes breathe a bit more. On the visual side I think the movie did mostly fine, but outside of a few specific moments I didn't feel the animation was notably better than what's come before in the tv series. To bring up serving as an example, I don't think we got any stylish scenes that rivaled serves we've seen from Oikawa/Mad Dog/Ushijima. I don't mean to be entirely negative though, I still greatly enjoyed the movie. Many of the character interactions were on point with great examples being Kuro & Tsukishima, the moments of banter where they weren't just flashing back to season 2 were easy highlights for me. Animation wise there also was a great focus on the exhaustion of most of the players, even if I don't think it really impacted most of the player's performance the details still definitely highlighted their exhaustion. Ultimately I still have these mixed feelings. Being only ~80 mins long I believe this would mark this match as the shortest in runtime of any of the major "end of season" climatic matches, and personally that it really shows. I think the movie would have benefited both from having a longer runtime as well as making better use of the time they were given. While certainly enjoyable, the movie does leave me a little concerned for the next film given manga readers are frequently commenting that the next film has even more to fit into a singular movie.
I definitely agree about the runtime. Now that I've had a few months to process the film, rewatch it, and look back at the anime as a whole. I'm not as high on the film as I was initially. While I still loved it as a haikyuu fan. I do wish it was longer and more fleshed out beyond 80 mins. It also leaves me weary on how they would finish the series in only 1 more film. We'll just have to wait and see! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the review and leave such a detailed comment about your own experience with the movie :)
So i watched the movie yesterday and realy enjoyed it . I love how Kenma was the mc of the movie and Hinata his best rival ❤ . I know they cut the content from manga but i think it worked for this match because of the players we know them and of both teams . However i would say for future chapters i am really hpoing they would go for a season because they have so much to adapt and the temanwe wilp face next is a new team and we don't have enough depth about them hoping for the best.
I really hope that the 2nd part will be longer and also not skip much of the original source material, coz the battle with Hoshiumi and the time skip and the you know what 😉 should 100% be animated, hopping the movie will do it justice
It's very strange, I have so many reasons to complain but I left feeling unbelievably happy, like I couldn't stop smiling My points of complains where I'd rather they went by every point scored or more at least, sooooo many uneeded flashbacks The final point felt anticlimactic but that's not the studios fault but they handled the aftermath amazingly making that miss play that happened on the final point not feel anticlimactic plus I love realism, not every game is gonna end in some ridiculous final point
I think it's a good trade-off. The pacing is immensely fast. But that doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be longer. All the story beats were satisfying and well delivered. But at only 80 minutes, when the credits began, I was ready to jump into the next film. Honestly, I could've watched it for 2 hours. In terms of manga, I am admittedly an anime only. I read that some details were cut, but I don't think manga readers will feel cheated by the adaption.
I thought the animation was the best the series has ever looked. There is a specific scene in the film that looked unbelievably impressive, and I was blown away.@@sohel.khanbd
@@ArpitKumar-cv7xc Bro it will release in India later. It will at least take 3-4 months I think so we have to wait till that time and for online it may be leaked maybe in one or two months.

No official date. I personally expect June based on how long Crunchyroll is taking to localize the Spy x Family film. Which saw similar popularity back in December.
It was absolutely sold out across most showtimes at my theater. I believe it was the 5th highest opening weekend of all time in Japan. The movie has been a huge success
@@ShoemakerPowerHourwow! I read the manga but won’t spoil you. The next movie will probs only be the next match then. And maybe another season to finish it off or a 3rd movie. Thy really got creative liberty here
Legally speaking. If it releases in theaters around June. Crunchyroll will probably add it sometime next year. On the high seas however. I expect probably May with no subtitles.
my only concern was did they adapt every thing in the manga or did they cut some things short? if they didn't cut anything, then how did they manage to fit the whole match in one movie? 🤔 I mean they did right? the movie contained the whole match right? so how come it only took 90 minutes for that CORE match of the anime, when the shiratorizawa or the inarizaki match took way longer? (10 and 14 episodes?) I'm an anime only so I don't actually know how long the nekoma match is 😅 it's just my expectations. also I'm sooooo jealous you got to see that in theatres 🥺 truly good for you. any idea on when will we international fans be able to see it? I've absolutely shredded my soul waiting for the release date not realising that I will have to wait after it anyway 😢😂 edit: I've read the comments and now my questions are answered 😂👍 thank you 😊🙏🏻
Few questions : is nishinoya’s footsave from the manga in this match there? How would you say the movie was, was it rushed, or well paced? Was the animation like old haikyuu or less good like season 4?
@bloojay133_GVO 1. I honestly can't remember. There was a footsave, but it didn't make it over the net. 2. I thought the pacing was good for the single match. Where I worry is in part 2, depending on how long it is and how much content there is to adapt. 3. I thought the animation was the best the series has ever seen. The climax of the film was something I never expected. I hope I was able to help 😅
Currently it is only in japanese theaters. There is currently no global release date. But a safe guess would be June/July for the rest of the world since localization usually takes 4 or 5 months.
Crunchyroll hasn't confirmed a release date yet. But if we look at how quickly they brought spy x family over (December in japan to April globally), I would assume haikyuu will release in late June/early July at the latest.
I've read rumors that they might extend to 3 films due to the success of Part 1 from the weekend. But nothing is confirmed as of the time of this video's posting. I sure hope we get 3 films though, or at least 2 films and another 10 episode season ❤
I will say that the only downside of seeing movies here is that I don't get my English subtitles. Fortunately, I was able to see the movie with people who are more proficient in Japanese than me. So anything I couldn't translate quickly enough, I was able to have help 😅 Thank you for asking though and taking the time to watch my video ❤️
Unfortunately, not yet. I wouldn't expect one for at least a month, and when it eventually does leak online, the quality will probably be low and there still aren't subtitles. Japan has locked down hard against pirating. I remember having to wait for crunchyroll to localize the films months later. I only moved to Japan last August. So this is new for me 😅
Potential spoiler alert for anime only fans. Does anyone know if they're gonna show the Fukurodani vs Mujinazaka match in one of the movies? I wanna see the top 5 ace vs top 3 ace match animated
from what I heard, its either only mentioned/highly rushed or it doesnt apear at all, I didnt have any details because the person was avoiding spoiling people. But whatever happened, its not good. Hopefully the kept out entirely, so they have the alternative to change it to a Three movie finale instead of Two, that way the Part Two can be the Fukorodani match + Kamomedai Match. And the Final movie would be Brazil Arc + Adlers vs Jackals
@@arijit-sq4xi I saw it in theaters here in Japan. I don't believe it's leaked on the internet yet. Japan is extremely strong against piracy. I would assume crunchyroll will release it sometime this summer in other countries.
Not to my knowledge. I'm unaware when Crunchyroll will release it internationally. I'm sure eventually it will be leaked online with fan subtitles, but that could take a month or two. If we look at Spy x Family as an example. Their movie released in December here in Japan, with an April release date internationally. So I would expect the new Haikyuu film to probably be released in June/July for U.S. theaters (and other countries)
The film isn't available online yet. It only just released in Japan last Friday. I would expect a month or two before it leaks online. 3 to 4 months for legal global distribution by Crunchyroll.
What do you want to know? Mild spoilers below: + He's the co-main character of the film with Kenma + He gets a few hype moments through the game + He's in the post credit scene + In the film, he doesn't have too much to do story-wise. A larger focus being on Kenma and Tetsurō
At the moment you can't. The movie only just released in Japan, and Japan is strict against pirating. Expect to wait a couple of months for the India release.
how are they gonna finish all that left of the manga with a movie.. this anime movie trend is so annoying, they get readapted in the anime anyway anime movies is only for filler or side stories like episode nagi being a movie

@@ShoemakerPowerHour thanks for the info buddy
Of course, thanks for watching 🧡
How was the animation? Eas itnlike s4 or like s1,2,3@@ShoemakerPowerHour
I thought the animation was the best the series has ever looked. There is a specific scene in the film that looked unbelievably impressive, and I was blown away.@@sohel.khanbd
Provide me some website to watch the movie
When it will be released in india
Can't wait to watch this .but why we have to wait till June😢
It could be May, nothing is confirmed. But looking at the release window from Crunchyroll, my guess would be June.
How could i watch it
How were u able to watch it, it was only released is Japan right?
Yes, it was released in Japan last Friday. I'm living in Japan, so I went with a group of friends to see it.
Sir please how can I. Watch it I m from India ..... Without any language barrier I want to watch it please help
I am on debt of your kindness
@@ArpitKumar-cv7xc Bro it will release in India later. It will at least take 3-4 months I think so we have to wait till that time and for online it may be leaked maybe in one or two months.
@@27_kartiknair90 okay brother let's wait 😭😭😭😭
@@ArpitKumar-cv7xcwe have to be patient. Remember JJK 0 was released in December 2021 in Japan and in India it was released in June 2022. Atleast 4 to 6 months of wait for watching it in theatres in India
When it coming in outside of Japan????😢😢
No official date. I personally expect June based on how long Crunchyroll is taking to localize the Spy x Family film. Which saw similar popularity back in December.
Where can i watch in india pls someone tell
Where to watch in india
thanks
was the theater packed on opening day? just curious
It was absolutely sold out across most showtimes at my theater. I believe it was the 5th highest opening weekend of all time in Japan. The movie has been a huge success
i haven't watched the movie yet but did it actually adapt every chapter?
All the nekoma match but they skipped some dialogues and moments
should i watch this movie after the season 4?
Yes, this movie is a continuation after season 4 ☺
When is the movie going to release worldwide?
There currently isn't a release date, but I would expect sometime between May and July
is it better than manga?
will the japanese version have english subtitles or do i have to watch the english dub
Japanese version should have subtitles for you unless you are actually in Japan (like I was lol).
is this movie covers only one match that is karasuno vs nekoma?
Yes. The movie only covers this match. With an after credits hinting at the next match that will take place. 😉
@@ShoemakerPowerHourwow! I read the manga but won’t spoil you. The next movie will probs only be the next match then. And maybe another season to finish it off or a 3rd movie. Thy really got creative liberty here
Bro any way to watch the movie even if it is in Japanese
Anyone know where you can watch this movie online ?
Official OTT release going to takes time and cam rip quality is not worth it.
So at least 4-6 months minimum before its online release.
just want to ask .. this first part is complete match b/w karasuno and nekoma right? or it will complete in part 2nd ?
Yes, the film is the complete match. There is a winner by the end. Part 2 will be a different match for the winning team.
Duuude I wanna watch so bad why it take so long😢
does anybody have a movie link
Manga readers told me the movie is rushed af and there is many key moments out of it , a shame
U need more subs for this quality!
Dude, thank you so much. I just really started this channel over the last few weeks, and it's been quite a journey so far. There's more to come 🧡🔥💯
My friend says she can barely breath 😂 maybe that's why the movie can't be too long we'll get a heart attack
When can I watch it on an anime site
I've absolutely shredded my soul waiting for the release date not realising that I will have to wait after it anyway 😢😂
edit: I've read the comments and now my questions are answered 😂👍 thank you 😊🙏🏻
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and watch the video 🧡
@@ShoemakerPowerHour no thank you bro!! the video made me real happy and excited!!! 😆😆😆
Where did it come out in JPN?
It was released in theaters nationwide. I personally saw it in Okinawa, while some of my friends also saw it in Tokyo and Osaka.
@@ShoemakerPowerHour ahhh alright good to know
Few questions : is nishinoya’s footsave from the manga in this match there?
How would you say the movie was, was it rushed, or well paced?
Was the animation like old haikyuu or less good like season 4?
@bloojay133_GVO
@@ShoemakerPowerHour omg thx :) now i have good expectations for the movie lol
Where we can watch this movie
Currently it is only in japanese theaters. There is currently no global release date. But a safe guess would be June/July for the rest of the world since localization usually takes 4 or 5 months.
guys when will the movie come out in india
That's what I wanna know too 🙃
Do you know when it will release globally?
Crunchyroll hasn't confirmed a release date yet. But if we look at how quickly they brought spy x family over (December in japan to April globally), I would assume haikyuu will release in late June/early July at the latest.
I believe they have 3 films
I've read rumors that they might extend to 3 films due to the success of Part 1 from the weekend. But nothing is confirmed as of the time of this video's posting.
I sure hope we get 3 films though, or at least 2 films and another 10 episode season ❤
@@ShoemakerPowerHouryeah they might change their plans after this success.
Where did u saw it?
I live in Japan as an English Teacher. It released here last weekend 🙂
@@ShoemakerPowerHour oh that is really nice, good for you hahaha
I will say that the only downside of seeing movies here is that I don't get my English subtitles. Fortunately, I was able to see the movie with people who are more proficient in Japanese than me. So anything I couldn't translate quickly enough, I was able to have help 😅
Thank you for asking though and taking the time to watch my video ❤️
I wish I had money to go to Japan just to see this movie 😅
I've definitely felt that before 😅
did kamomedai match shown ?
Spoiler:
No, you just see them in the post credits scene.
@@ShoemakerPowerHour is there any illegal website where i can watch it , if not then when can i ?
@@rafaelribeiro99 yea I hope so too. Because I can't wait to see Bokutos craziest match in the entire series
Did the film covers kamomedai match ? And where can i watch it 😢?
Spoilers:
Unfortunately, no.
@@ShoemakerPowerHour Ohno😭 it's fine ig but where I can watch it !
@@arijit-sq4xi I saw it in theaters here in Japan. I don't believe it's leaked on the internet yet. Japan is extremely strong against piracy. I would assume crunchyroll will release it sometime this summer in other countries.

How do u watch in uk
Right now the film is only in Japan
From where you saw
I saw this while living in Japan 🙂
Where you watched it
I watched the film opening night at the movie theater. It was released last Friday (2/16) here in Japan.
@@ShoemakerPowerHour anywhere else we can watch it?
Not to my knowledge. I'm unaware when Crunchyroll will release it internationally. I'm sure eventually it will be leaked online with fan subtitles, but that could take a month or two.
If we look at Spy x Family as an example. Their movie released in December here in Japan, with an April release date internationally. So I would expect the new Haikyuu film to probably be released in June/July for U.S. theaters (and other countries)
Where I can watch this movie on which OTT platform
Were can i watch the movie online
The film isn't available online yet. It only just released in Japan last Friday. I would expect a month or two before it leaks online. 3 to 4 months for legal global distribution by Crunchyroll.
Eng dub?
Is this movie also cover the kamonedai match
Nope, it looks like the next film will cover that match.
Tell me about shoya
What do you want to know? Mild spoilers below:
+ He's the co-main character of the film with Kenma
+ He gets a few hype moments through the game
+ He's in the post credit scene
+ In the film, he doesn't have too much to do story-wise. A larger focus being on Kenma and Tetsurō
Phillipines when .....???? Onegaiiii
Bro when is it going to be released in INDIA. I have been waiting for too long.
is there cam rip link
How to watch it online am from india
At the moment you can't. The movie only just released in Japan, and Japan is strict against pirating. Expect to wait a couple of months for the India release.
HOWW DO I WARCH THIS IN THE UK ANIWAVE WONT WORK
Where to watch this movie online
... u serious?
How did you watch this? Anyway without going to Japan
Not at the moment. I went to the theater opening day here in Okinawa, Japan.
The second movie could be longer around 2 hours maybe 2 and a half
I hope so. A 2 and a half final film would be epic to see and give the series justice 💯
how are they gonna finish all that left of the manga with a movie..
this anime movie trend is so annoying, they get readapted in the anime anyway
anime movies is only for filler or side stories like episode nagi being a movie
That wasnt IG's product. Its Toho Animation ( films makers )
It's listed in the credits and online as Production IG, just like the series. The film has been produced and distributed by Toho and Shueisha, but the film was animated by IG and directed by longtime series director Susumu Mitsunaka.
