My neighbour, who is Jewish, went there for a holiday last year!
The travel advice is only for a small area close to Syria/Iraq borders mainly.
I have travelled ,many times to Dalyan - a really beautiful area without encountering any issues - although I totally disagree with Erdogan's leadership.
I do have issues going/spending my money there - but it is so cheap at the moment.
When I first went a few years back, it was 6 Turkish Lire to the Pound - now it is almost 40.
So a cheap sunny fortnight is OK for me. There are bad people in every country - many more now in the UK than ever before - but also many hospitable good ones.
So I never discuss religion or politics there - and feel safer there now than I do outside in England walking around at night..
Not sure about any other place in Turkey, as always go back to Dalyan, and can only say as I find.
