  • The process of how a newspaper is printed in India. Indian people work at a newspaper production factory. They load the paper roll into the printing machine. A person at the press loads the plates where the graphic and text has been printed already into the machine.
The aluminum plates of each page next move on to the actual printing press, an enormous machine often two stories high. When the press is running, the noise in the building is deafening and employees must wear earplugs. The most common method of printing newspapers is called web offset. The "web" refers to the large sheets of blank newsprint that are inserted in rolls, sometimes weighing over a ton, into the actual printing press. The reels of newsprint are loaded in at the bottom floor of the press.

Wow just like The Houston Chronicle. Load up. Send the leads up. Make your pattern up. Go plate up. LOLS. BEAUTIFUL. This brings back so many memories.
I won 3 Houston Chronicle Umbrellas, for catching the wrong dates on our papers. Or the pages out of order.
The worst part everybody hated was stopping to wash the ink off the blankets. You called rubber. Wore my shoulders out. We did it by hand., and a squirter bottle of some blanket cleaner.

Rather boring: badly in need of editing.
