Besides Sophia Lucia, Kaylee is probably the best dancer to appear on the show. She's a ballet genius, and won 1st place at YAGP (the most prestigious ballet competition in USA). Yet they made her dance with the mini's and a cheesy monster dance at that. It's like they brought her on to humiliate her.

Everyone said “she’s rude” but the producers lied to her and made this whole thing up. They told Kaylee that she was going to Junior elite team, that’s why she had on the same uniform as the junior elite team. The producers did that to cause more drama.

She is also too old to be a mini and so is Areana, actually. But I get what she said, I mean why would an 11 year old be happy to do a monster dance with six seven and eight year olds? That’s similar to what she said

Maria Heart she is a good dancer for her age but I agree is not better than the elite team and in this episode they played her out as a brat. Don’t forget Brooke as well they handle dancing with younger kids well yes they had their moments but so does everyone but for the most part they just danced like normal

i know multiple people who have met with and competed at competitions with her who can confirm that she is actually very sweet, mature, humble, and down to earth, all while being on of the best dancers in the entire competition world. the show was heavily edited and she was upset that she was literally lied to and manipulated. dont believe everything you see on tv.

Everyone, the producers twisted Kaylees words. Kaylee on the internet said that she never said Abby was a bad teacher. So what really happened was when Kaylee and her Mom started to have that conversation, when Kaylees mom said “are you having fun?” And when Kaylee said No. when the people were editing the footage, they edit the part Kaylee saying “No” (like she wasn’t having fun) after her Mom said “She seems like a really good teacher” Kaylee never said that Abby was a bad teacher. There’s even a video uploaded about that part, there was proof of what I said in this comment. The description even explained it. Don’t believe every single thing you see or hear on TV. They did the same thing with Payton in season 2. Kaylee is not a brat and she never said Abby wasn’t a good teacher

I honestly don’t blame Kaylee. She’s 11, and she is supposed to be in the junior division. As a dancer you don’t really want to dance down. you want to dance with your own age group and advance. And for all you saying Brooke would never complain, if you listen to Kelly and Christi’s podcast, Kelly said she wasn’t thrilled with Brooke doing the Junior group dances because she felt feel like she wasn’t advancing as a dancer.
The producers told her that she would be with the older girls. I would be disappointed too. She is also well respected in the dance world

Respect is earned. No one likes a bratty diva. There's disappointments and there's opportunities to take advantage of like dancing with any team on the ALDC. If the mom felt they had been given the short end of the stick after promises were made by producers she should have just left instead of letting her daughter behave that way and then speak badly about their experience to people on social media.
@@raea3588 Kaylee was well respected in the dance world before this. The dance world extends well beyond dance moms. I haven't heard much from her lately, but at this time Kaylee was doing amazing things and was almost prodigy-level. Incredible natural talent in almost every style including ballet/pointe. Kaylee WAS above this monster dance. Beyond that, producers lied to her about who she would be dancing with. Could she have been much more gracious and held her tongue? Yes. Do I also kind of get it? Yes. ALDC can bring you some forms of notoriety and opportunity, but for dancers like Kaylee at the time, DM can be more a curse than a blessing and can also cause pretty bad regression. It depends on your goals as a dancer.
SamIAm2197 Well as a dancer she should know that sometimes you have to do certain things whether you like it or not. Everything helps progress wise. If you want to better yourself as a dancer take risks, set examples and be different.
@@renaizie8021 in her case, doing only dances like that monster dance at the ALDC would have been risking pretty bad regression. I am not condoning her behavior, she could/should have been more polite and gracious, as I've said. She maybe could have continued with the monster dance to respect her initial commitment, before respectfully leaving. HOWEVER, because production told her she was going to be dancing with the juniors, I honestly see no issue with her leaving when she did. Yes, dancers have to do things they don't want to do, but they don't have to force themselves through situations in which people were dishonest with her and force themselves to regress. I am not of the belief that everything helps progress wise. Kaylee was doing intense ballet training and competing at YAGP. To abandon that to dance and film at ALDC wouldn't have helped her at all. Like I said, I'm not condoning her outward behavior when she left, but her feelings were fair and her decision to leave was sound. ALDC is/was a teeny tiny corner in the larger dance sphere.

People don’t understand that the reason the girl was annoyed because she wasn’t supposed to be a mini. Also other people who have worked with her said she was a very nice girl and nice to work with.
