Is the Primo (Rocket Pass Season 13) Better Than the Skyline?

- There's a second car in the Season 13 Rocket Pass called the Primo! We'll be comparing it today to the Fast and Furious Nissan Skyline in 5 categories to see which car has the objectively better hitbox.
P.S. Primo is the Hybrid hitbox but is slightly shifted back to match the hitbox better
P.P.S. The Primo unlocks on tier 20 of the Rocket Pass and is NOT an upgraded version of the Ace. It's a totally different car.
Note: The slight decrease in side flips is due to how flips have a set time to rotate. This means a longer car will have to spin faster to meet those requirements (this is why Dominus and Breakout flicks are so good). But the Primo's tighter origin means it doesn't have to rotate as fast sideways to hit the time to rotate requirement and this will cause it to contribute slightly less power (think in the realm of 1% or less) when side flipping.
Car Setup:
Body: Primo (Hybrid hitbox)
Decal: Saffron Sunsetter

Love these breakdowns!
Glad to hear it!
Thank you for making this video man, for all the players who need it.
Stay safe brother
No prob
Underrated
Thank you for the breakdown, I've felt subjectivity that the Primo felt better to me than the Skyline, but I'm glad someone who takes the time to look at the hitboxes thinks the sane.
One question, since the hitbox is lower to the ground for the Primo, will that make it worse at 50/50's? I imagine on most 50's you'd be jumping anyway so it would really only effect the timing on when you should jump but I am curious on your thoughts.
Basically yes. But it's not an impossible hurdle. With Dominus and other shorter cars it's just more important to get your nose up on 50s (like on kickoff) or just use the rest of the car to win it. But on a straight head on collision (specifically thinking of kickoffs again) it will be slightly more difficult.
Great video! Can you potentially compare the Primo (since it beat the Skyline) to the Nissan Silvia? I'm a hybrid main and find these comparisons really interesting.
Played about a 1000 hours with the R3MX but eventually moved on to Silvia because it had more defined corners/edges and less dead space on the front. Now I'm thinking of moving to the Primo because it feels less narrow (and isn't trademark restricted). I feel like the Primo and the Silvia happen to be the most competitive hybrids in the game at the moment
Yeah, agreed. I prefer the Silvia because its nose is more accurate, but the Primo's sides are definitely better. Most of the other comparisons would be similar. Corners are probably the only weird thing since the S13 is so skinny, but the Primo's corners are a bit soft.
I think the shot accuracy with nose/corners would be the make or break, so I would recommend trying both and see which feels better (since they're so close feel should be the deciding factor).
Tygris > Skyline
👀 Primo though
I'd believe it. It has some good looking hitbox matches.
