This look the exact same as nova lox(salmon). I actually made some the other day for dinner. It is salted smoked salmon. It always comes on gold cardboard and vacuumed sealed exactly like what you had.
If you ever get a chance try it. I eat it with a toasted bagel and cream cheese. You can add some sautéed red onion and egg(cooked however you want). Its very delicious.
Lox is cured with salt so it tastes very salty. This is sashimi, it has not been preserved with salt or smoke (phenol, formaldehyde, acetic acid), it has a far more neutral taste.

This means that this product either comes from Poland or is cut and packaged in Poland. This is EU law, every agricultural product must have this oval symbol to show where it comes from. But is a bit flexible. If meat comes from Hungary, for example, but is processed in Germany, e.g. into a hamburger, then the sign says DE for Germany. The name of this company is Almar Sp.

You guys really have a lot of amazing - and a bit weird - vending machines in Singapore. I wish we had just a fraction of that here in Denmark, but we don't - I don't think people here trust food vending machines to deliver non-contaminated, safe to eat food out of the box.
Over here we don't really have very interesting vending machines, at least in most areas. Anything I ever find is basic snacks and drinks, and they're usually in places like offices and malls. Places where they're less likely to get vandalized, I'd say. I only once saw a frozen food with a microwave attached at a community college, but that was years ago and I doubt it's still there. There used to be very interesting ice cream bar ones that lifted them out of the freezer with a vacuum, but those aren't prominent anymore.
Some of yall would be surprised how disgusting and filthy the insides of these machines can be. Most of the workers that refill these never bother cleaning them.
that salmon been frozen for a ling ass time, if it was correctly frozen it wouldnt lose that much firmness and oiliness only loses a lil bit of sweetness but freezing is necessary for safe consumption
@@lmaree200886 Last time I saw, DB was a he and his gf/wife/partner was the she. Still, the pat on that fish was rather hard and if there was any oil on it, it most certainly is now on the paper! Defrosted salmon sashimi can be pretty decent actually and is usually what you get for salmon at all except the finest sushi establishments (true at least here in the U.S.). The sin of the machine is that the slicing of the fish should only be done right before the eating. Otherwise you may as well be eating supermarket pre-prepared sashimi. (YUCK!)
