I personally enjoyed it. I really like how even though it is the fourth dinosaur season, it takes a back seat to the knight theme which I liked. It took something we know and put a spin on it.
I'm 40 years old, I haven't watched SS or PR in years, but I really enjoyed Ryusoulger. Just seeing a random pix of How cool the Gaisorg armor looked got me to watch the show. Super Happy Ryusoulger is next for Power Rangers.

Wow, you're 10 years older then me, I'm 30 and have been watching since season one of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I even remember seeing the movie in theaters when I was 5! I didn't think teenagers watched Power Rangers in the 90s, that's pretty cool.
I watched MMPR and Zeo religiously, most of Turbo and In Space, and every episode of Lost Galaxy. I didn't watch much after that and had pretty much stopped by Ninja Storm since by that
time I was 12, but started watching Dino Thunder because of Jason David Frank returning as Tommy Oliver. I stopped watching again after Dino Thunder ended since I was 14 and thought I was too old for PR but then, in my early 20s, I discovered Super Sentai. (Timeranger was even better then Time Force and Gokaiger was AWESOME!)
I now have a new found appreciation for the Saban and Disney eras of PR. The Neo Saban was a disappointing era (the Super seasons) but Beast Morphers is very good and I look forward to the Hasbro era. May the Power protect you!
Watch Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. It's way better and a lot of Kyoryuger elements were heavily borrowed or poorly imitated.
@@undeadknight01 I've always been a Mecha, Martial Arts Fan, that's what got me into Power Rangers when I was a Teenager. Never cared about what happened when the rangers were out of the suits to be honest.
@@nakobass28 Imagine if Kaiju movies and Tokusatsu shows were as big in the west as they are in Japan. Pacific Rim was alright, but Guillermo Del Toro should have just adapted Evangelion or Gundam lol.

Glad to hear Ryusoulger has a unique monster esthetic given how my favorite monsters are from Gekiranger and Kyoryuger, and the ones in Kyoryuger (and subsequently Dino Charge) in particular are very distinct and memorable
Yep I think it’s pretty memorable imo
It is fun, enjoyable and I like it. 2 things though,
1. Story building and ending is a little disappointing but it is not terrible
2. too focus on the red and gold, I would like to see other rangers use some of the kyoryu soul but oh well
It's funny how they tried to focus on gold but in the end he almost got no character development at all.

@@YarugumaSou He got all the development he needed when he started to work with other Ryuusoulgers despite of what Mossa Rex told him.
The character development felt died to me, koh is the only one that get the most development, then is bamba with the second most and then melto, asuna and green gets barely and canalo development just makes him the same. The story is really really work, until we're close to the end where the story actually kinda pick it self up and the plot twsit was really unexpected.
The good thing is the villains, amazing design and I love how wiz and the green blob got more developmenr then any of the ranger. The suit is cool, the mech look great but felt lack luster that they don't all combine into one and the strongest form is just mossa, ptan and rex combine.

I really loved Ryusoulger!! The plot, characters, and the zords/megazords especially the part where two tribes were created by one villain. I was mind blown!!

I have a love-hate relationship with this shows. I love the mechs bc they act like legos and I love the suits and power-ups. I also love the aesthetics, camera shots, and the many anime like moments sprinkled. My favorite being when Kishiryu-Oh Tigerlance couldn’t move bc of sand trapped in their body and in the movie when they made the giant ass sword. I also like how they jebaited me in the finale as I thought the show would end on more on one occasion with cool henshins and the suit less rolecall. But I hate the fact that the story is all over the place and there are more questions then answers. They also killed off Nada immediately which was stupid. I also don’t like that the only “Knight” things that happen are the catchphrase and weapons. Everything else is more or less Kyoryuger with the wild fighting style and “The world is ending Finale”. Overall, I just treated it like Zi-O for the fun moments and not take it seriously. This show gives me a “Mighty Morphin” which is why I don’t hate it as much but meh.

But I'm someone who does try to watch things for what they are and I guess like when I heard that while watching your video the first thing that came to my head was: what other sentai have you seen? This was something I loved about this show. I agree with your nitpicks especially of how they treated Nada. But this was not Kyoryuger 2.0, because Koh is nothing like Daigo. Koh has a lot of baggage that I see and people ignore that.
Yeah Koh really had a lot of an interesting moments and it's disappointing a lot of people seem to miss that
All they see is "he's just the red ranger. So it's boring".
I love Koh so much since I love that protagonist personality
Koh wasn't Mr Perfect, though he still had way too much focus.
I think the best part of this is the lack of cgi because it makes some of the funniest scenes I’ve ever watched. Like I love seeing the main mech just wandering around like he’s going to collapse.
I actually like that the mushroom was changed to a girl in Dino Fury.
My favorite versions have always been the dino versions (along with animals in general-Wild Force) so, to combine them with knights, who I also love, is perfection for me. I'm so looking forward to the American version. I really hope it's done well. I saw a video of the trio of toys and was not very impressed, but I searched for and found more videos of the others to come and have grown to like them a lot. Having the Lego-like connectors, as a Lego fan, makes it all the more fun to me. I haven't bought any toys in a while, but will probably buy these. I love all the possible combinations that you can create. I love the "Egg" and crock looking ones. I like any creature that can become a zord on it's own without needing to add other parts but can add other parts if you want. I'd love to find a way to use the red T-rex and navy T-rex as legs and add others to create the torso and arms. I watched a fan fiction version (at least I think it was a fan fiction version) where different star constellations were used as zords. Ursa Major and Ursa Minor could have so many cool possibilities. Great video. Thanks.

i understand why a lot people dont like ryusoulger, while some people does enjoy it. it has a lot of wasted potential, i agree, and when they have a new episodes, they sometimes forget about previous episodes, the pacing is kinda terrible, and it is too focused on red and gold. but i do enjoy the ryusoulger, it has cool suit, armor, the kishiryu's are awesome, eventhough its cgi, the character are fun and entertaining, and also koh is a great character, he's a very positive character but when something went bad, his seriousness is really really badass. and scenes from ryusoulger is memorable and interesting.
so yeah, i guess the writing is a bit off and terrible, but its still enjoyable
I do like kreon and wyzul but I find them too similar to luckyuro and candelira from kyoryuger as they become good in the end but I do like the shift from evil to good especially with kreon but good thing they didn't become the mentors like in kyoryuger
I would love to see the part when Kleon threw the soulcalibur to Koh adapted in Dino Fury. I want Mucus and Slyther to turn good as well.

Hi Thomas I would recommend watching zyuden sentai kyoryuger but I have not seen dinoknight sentai ryusoulger so not sure what to think about it.

Ryusoulger is as of right now probably one of or my most favorite season of Super Sentai. Also it's been confirmed after Beast Morphers ends later this year Ryusoulger will be the Super Sentai season that gets adapted into Power Rangers next.

Great video, man! I really need this video for so many backlashes and hates toward Ryusoulger. While I don't think Ryusoulger was the best experience we have with Sentai, it still deserves some love.
I might be in the minority but, other than Bamba, I really love Melt. He's such a character that is so relatable with me. He's the strategist of the team but you can see his doubt, uneasiness, and fear throughout the series. He contrasts so much with Koh, Asuna, and even Towa who just rush everything through. As shown in ep 9, this was because he cares for his teammate's well-being.
This is such a unique aspect because you rarely see the calm Blue Ranger is conflicted with emotions so much like this. To note, the one who changed Koh from the wild kid into the guy we knew was, not Master Red or Asuna but, Melt. That scene where Melt lead the others in the finale was also fantastic. I'm pretty sure Melt is the kind of character that is good on paper but wasn't properly executed.
If there's one thing I want Ryusoulger to change is just to put more development and spotlight to Melt. More Koh and Melt, Melt and Oto, or even Melt and Tyramigo would be superb. For God's sake, he could be the 'Sento' to Koh's 'Banjou'.

I'm watching this after Dino Fury came out and I love what Hasbro did with the season.
I didn't really avoiding this season because of the Dinosaur theme, more because it was Knight's with Dinosaurs. I had been thinking up my own Knight season and just to see the theme used with Dinosaurs just dropped my interest it the season. Maybe I'll give it a watch later.

Ryusoulgers was......okay I guess, my biggest problem is that I wish the characters at least the rangers got a good amount of focus episode consider a show with 40+ episodes should be enough to fill it. Although I like Bamba and Canalo they alone wasn't enough.....look what I'm trying to say is the characters are bland
I agree I do really like the villains but I dislike the rangers. The one thing that a sentai is supposed to make you like is the rangers but the only ranger I end up liking was Bamba for how cool and serious he was. I really hated Asuna and Towa for how annoying and bland they were and they kept reminding me of the the toqgers. I really wish they stop doing the idiot characters in sentai. It get really annoying after awhile. I really love Nada and he is one of my favorite evil rangers/extra heroes and wished he was used way more then just a few episodes. I give the season a 4/10. Not god awful like Zyuohger and Toqger but not as good as Lup/Pat and Kyoryuger.
I wonder what Hasbro will do with this season. I already have the Japanese version of the main megazord.
I don´t know why people Hate Nada, but i just like him as a character. He helped Koh to be a better leader, and he himself clarified that since he met them he stopped being the same person he was before, spiteful and that he only sought power, and the most important thing was the farewell in the video, it really hurts the soul that what was a villain ended up saying goodbye saying the best of each Ryusoulger, and after his death, Koh became a better leader after he's death.

Because these element armors they wear are really cool and the zords are better than the Dino Charge rangers. The theme dinosaurs and combine with knight makes a good title for next years new power rangers season 'Dino Knight'.

@@thomasjujube Sentai never had a gap like kamen rider soooo recent as of 2017 to now? because every decade is rather different. I've seen most around the zyuranger to megaranger, they were pretty good for being as old as they are.

This just got me so excited for dino fury even tho the stories may be vastly different
it's like the ex aid of sentai. It was colorful, the cgi was awesome, they did something interesting with crayon and the generals but it's just... Dinosaurs? again??? I really liked dinosaurs but now I'm burnt out on them and this, well, it's the one bite after you say you're full and dont want anymore. If the motif was anything else, ANYTHING ELSE! They should have done something similar to the enemies motif with the chess pieces and did cards or something like redo the motif of jakq but have it be where ace is red and the suits are the rest and the extra heros are kings and queens, have an older hero gone rogue called Jack. That would have been sick.
I loved Ryusoulger so much up until the last episode. Like, IDRK, the ending just felt so empty and unsatisfying. I'm not gonna post spoilers here. But I felt like they could have let us in on more info, especially with UI. I was kinda mad at how they used her. But, other than that, I love the season! Koh is such an adorable bean and don't even get me started on Tyramigo!
I honestly felt like Ryusoulger was a really safe Sentai show but that it needed to be after Lupat and other Sentai show that came before mostly cause it had some similar aspect to Kyoryuger with the Emotions aspect with the Druidon monsters and Koi’s and Asuna and Melto’s personality and the whole Dinosaur aspect but it just felt like it was needed since all these other Sentai had these crazy motifs that were astounding and having Ryusoulger as a show was the safe Sentai that also had good ideas but could sometimes be poorly executed overall though the show was needed to go back to the classic Sentai formula that a lot of people liked which is good
I really wanna get into super sentai, but I always get distracted with other stuff when I start. This looks like one that would actually keep my attention
The Action alone is worth giving it a watch.
4:23,it's basically Gaogaigar but without the GAR in any of the episodes tbh.
If I were to make my thoughts on the Minusaurs,they're not bad theme wise. Their designs are cool but man,their mantras can get grating. I feel that Roxy and Blaze's evil avatars from Beast Morphers were way better since we get to see that the worst aspect of a human can be increased tremendously if you flipped it around. Roxy was estranged by Ravi during the first episode and we see flashbacks of the good times Ravi and Roxy have but Ravi's stickler rules policy endangered them both to the point where dozens of Morph-X were stolen at times. Blaze seems to look like the red ranger archetype but was irritated by Devon (soon to be the Red Ranger of the show) and Blaze's irritation proved to be a driving point of his evil avatar until the end of Season 1 where Roxy and Blaze's real bodies awoke from a coma,realizing the bad they did while their evil avatars were doing during the first season.
Maybe because I want some lore of Ryusoulger which is why I prefer Beast Morphers to it but the humans are pretty boring and I'm wanting to see what the backstory of the Ryusoulgers are and I wanted to know what their village is like and hell,I wanted to see some Ryusoul people live in regular society and become the Minusaurs and se how the Ryusoulgers could save one of their own people. Isn't that why the Druidons wanted to take over Earth in the first place?
I'm really starting to miss the villains from Kyoryuger because they had one goal including a base of operations. The Druidons,mostly with Wyzul a.k.a Heero Yuy and Gridman and mutant Toad from Mario were goofing around like fools instead of trying to subjugate Earth.
Had Wyzul been written as a zealot who wishes to make everyone happy,just so their happiness is used as a life fuel for Eras would have been better but as he sees the Ryusoulgers' genuine helping hand entertained people and made them happy,it would led Wyzul to be jealous because he wanted to make them happy not for Eras but for himself,giving him more of a Vegeta style complex.
The only character I feel I enjoyed was Towa/Green Ryusoul. He started out as a cocky little kid who listens to daddy..I mean,big bro and during his time with the Ryusoulger,he became a little more humble and even learned from Nada and questioned Bamba's negligence. He even got a nice episode with a racer girl who was bribed by mutant Toadstool,the only time Toadstool ever got physical with a victim of the week that showed where he was now as a character.
I honestly feel that after ep. 20,they should've brought back the Ryusoul tribe as regular people of the week living amongst society and their difficulties with society,leading to Nada/Gaisoulg and Uden who was the one who gave Gaisoulg to Nada and trained him heavily since Gaisoulg and Uden have the same fighting style. I mean look at them.
I wished Ryusoulger did more with its potential heavy lore and expanded on the Water Tribe and Ryusoul tribe instead of giving us these boring run-of-the-mill human victim stories we've heard a thousand times if we're not gonna explore the whole town the Ryusoulgers live.
Story and character wise,it's boring but the designs and fight scenes are pretty amazing.
I like knights,I like Dinosaurs and I like the idea of Chess piece looking villains...however I am a little annoyed that this series is getting brought to the states only 2 seasons after the last one about Dinos (But I’ll give the season a chance and see if it’s good before I fully decide if I like it or hate it)

With Ryusoulger its very interesting, I like most things about it except the show itself. Visually it kills it, but the lack of plot for the majority of it drove me crazy😅

I know I enjoued this season of SUper Serntai...that's why I can't wait to see the the Kiramager/Ryusoulger movie.....both were good seasons IMHO
my biggest problem with the season besides what you said is the amount of power-up they feel many and wasted there are not enough episodes in between so that everyone has their time and seeing that they almost always use it koh and canalo lose importance . especially light, darkness and cosmos that are among the most creative and powerful of the wasted because shortly after their debut came pachygaru, shortly after they whistle, then red max and almost to the inattentive after the caliburn. I know he is a bit picky but he did not allow me to enjoy the series to its fullest. otherwise I think it's pretty good not fantastic but enjoyable and fun
Yeah that's another thing I would file under the wasted potential nitpick section as its not really an actual problem with the show but is something that could have undeniably improved the show

My only complaint for this season is the morphing sequence never gonna get used to it
I liked Rysoulger, and it had some great moments, but overall it's not among my favorites.
Kiramager on the other hand, has hooked me after only 2 episodes.
Of the seasons I've watched to completion, my top 5 in no particular order are ToQger, Zyuohger, Gokaiger, Kyuranger and Lupinranger Vs Patranger.
But I'm trying to watch each season in order from the beginning; I can't find Goranger anywhere, so I started with J.A.K.Q.
Can someone explain did asuna and canalo end up together I mean it was hinted that he wanted to be with her 😂😂 or maybe I’m crazy
I would say its has tons of story problem like plotholes and unexplored lore because of the toys advertising (which is understandable because lupat financial performance was a complete disaster), but thankfully the second half improved quite a bit, especially the finale. Characters are mostly likeable and has enough of their own focus episodes sans Canalo which stays almost exactly the same since his debut, villains are serviceable yet likeable, soundtracks are okay, and i think the best thing about Ryusoulger is the designs and the toyline, starting from the suit, motw and especially the mechas. I think Ryusoulger would be a lot better with deeper lore explanation and equal upgrades across all member (which is a shame because Koh is actually a pretty good character and nowhere near as annoying as 'generic happy go lucky' red leader but most of the fandom branded him as such because the writer bias to him when it comes to upgrade forms), and overall just stay being a comedy or lighthearted series for most of its runtime with a few exceptions, and maybe a bigass Brachio theme mecha. But overall still enjoyed it from start to finish. I would say its slightly above average around 6/10 because i like about everything else beside the story/lore. Can't wait on Hasbro's take with Ryusoulger's adaptation.
I've been trying to watch this and it's just not grabbing me unlike Lupin V Pat. That show hooked me from the first episode and I enjoyed the theme. Now I'm only 4 episodes in admittedly but it's feeling like a chore to watch and has no story so far and I usually give a show 5 episodes to try and hook me.
I hate the Minosaurs. They had no personality whatsoever as they were just a bunch of mindless beasts. I like MotW that feel like actual characters. Then again, the villains might as well have just been air with how lackluster they were. I miss the days of getting real character development for villains like we got throughout the 80s and 90s and then in Gekiranger.
The rangers were meh for me. They weren't bad, but very underwhelming, especially when Asuna's only character traits were she likes to eat a lot and is pretty (per Nada's video).
Canalo was just terrible. BTW, your audio during that scene is drowned out because there started to be audio from Canalo over your words.
Ryusoulger was just a waste of a series for me. Almost as bad as Kyuuranger. I will agree that Nada's arc was great UNTIL it ended up just being an excuse to give Koh ANOTHER power up.
Also, don't forget about the old man gag.
I dropped the show after episode 34 but gave it another chance over the past few days. The endgame is phenomenal and almost redeems the show, but the beginning and middle still meander quite a lot. There's definite character development throughout and the writing steps up towards the end.
And I'm glad we love Kyuranger so much! That show really revived my love for sentai

Maybe, the super sentai strongest battle was a 45th anniversary special before the spinoff that is airing now in Japan. I believe it’s on its second episode.

God I wish they used the dragon theme instead of dinosaurs again.
I just wish for Toku shows in general to hold back on silly filler episodes a little bit. What's the point of having ~50 episodes if you only focus the main plot on a handful of them? I think Ryusoulger suffered greatly from that, they tried to throw in so many cool concepts but all fell flat because they lack time to develop any. Aside from that, it doesn't bore me to death like Zyuohger and doesn't piss me off like Ninninger or LuPat so it's fine by me.

I watched Dino fury and enjoyed it. So I’m considering watching ryusoulger to see the original recipe
Me personally, Dino Fury is superior compared to Ryusoulger’s half baked season. Especially with Zayto being a competent red ranger and a better me than Koh.
After I finished late Lupin vs Pat, I thought of giving a shot to Ryuusoulger after bashing it for having Dinosaurs yet again. This series won me over.
The megazords are way more cool looking than anything in the previous season (Except you VXS).
Koh, I was expecting him to be more like Marvelous but he's very similar to Lucky and damn, it works well. Monsters are really Kamen Riderish but the fact that you can destroy them completely without a mecha fight just breaks the formula awesomely. Kreon and Wyzul became my favorite generals. Melto and Asuna are kinda always in the background while all the others are much more interesting. And counting how many times Canalo gets rejected makes me laugh hard.
The bad thing about Ryuusoulger is, well, the awful plot pacing. Idk how to explain it but many of the episodes just throws too many issues for the rangers at once. Like episode two having Melto being untrusted by his Dinoknight at the same time as a plot about Asuna...or the conflict between Bamba and Canalo being so easily resolved.
My complaint with the toys is that they all use swords. Jesus, the movie had the older Ryuusoulgers using bows, axes, lances... and I'm certain that it was Koh's fault that the Gaisorg armor became so grudgingly.
I watched ryusoulger after i watched TOQGER this year, and honestly it was great. Koh, Melto and Asuna were definetly my favorite. I disliked Canalo, banba and (i cant remember the greens name lmao) not because they were bad. Just because they didnt particularly appeal to me.
I have a thing for the pink rangers, theyre all just so cute and sweet with some of the better developemnt in a season, qnd i can say that Asuna met all of those expectations for me.
I'd watched power rangers dino fury before watching ryusoulger and didnt particularly like the mecha, although when i think about it thats more of the power rangers mecha naming conventions just not making sense for the ryusoulger mecha, but ryusoulger defo changed my opinions on the mecha and by the end i loved them all so much. Especially tyramigo, he was so innocent and would not harm a fly. Especially the episode where melto and tyramigo had to save the school from the minasaurs, such a great episode.
The ending was amazing, i really like all the sentai endings. Gokaiger for its badassness, go-onger just cause it was so goofy, goseiger because it finished the growth of the team, TOQGER because it saw the end of a journey, the return to the lost home and the pushing of righto's shadow. (If you cant tell i really really loved TOQGER) And ryusoulgers ending having Koh die, having melto become the one to avenge his death, have Asuna be shocked and angry at his death, and happy when he comes back just shows her personality of being a sweet and kind yet brutal pink ranger. The sealing of Tyramigo and everyone else also really upset me because despite some of the mecha not ever getting persoanlity's, the ones that did being sealed off was beatiful, saddening but eventually gives everyone the ground to finally take down the final leader.
I love the season, sure it has flaws but i see them as small nitpicks more than anything.
And kreon was goofy and that was spectacular.
Also when ryusoul brown appeared and was just a recolour of gaisoul, i affectionatly called it gaishit lmao

It’s kinda interesting how the main villains of each dinosaur Sentai are all deities.
TOEI's awesome take on Saban's underrated original series, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. Too bad, MMPR productions didn't picked that concept, instead they're going sci-fi again.
Well I still like Power Rangers I think it needs an upgrade he needs to be more dramatic a little bit dark some die Hero's death or someone they love get killed by evil villain and the Megazord need like the Megazord from the show you talking about Dino knights when they combine they're more slick better
A gripe I had was that Eras created the ryusouls to protect the planet. When they kept warring with each other, She created the druidon to calm them down, only for them to try take over the Earth. Eras wasn't really a villain, just a mother who was fed up with her always fighting children. I didn't like that Ryusoulger just decided to outright fight her in the end. Only Koh decided to talk to her, telling her "people make mistakes but they grow from them so they won't make them again". The others just decided to outright attack her.
I mean to be fair eras was trying to destroy the earth so maybe the taking was seen as a last resort when the fighting didn’t work out
One of my favorite moments in the ending is when Master Black henshins into Ryusoul Black BUT HIS HENSHIN IS LITERALLY the timeranger henshin :')))) (tried so hard not to say morph)

I personally loved ryusoulger the charcters and villans were fun the story was solid the action was fantastic

Ryusoulger reminds me of a slice of life series.
I honestly thought the Nada/Gaisoulg arc was Ryusoulgers peak. To envy Koh for being passed on, taking Gaisoulg to prove himself worthy in vain, and to eventually cleanse the armor, fight alongside, and die a hero was very well done.

@@thomasjujube I think they didn't. They just aasumed it was the right thing since we don't know since when Kreon is summoning Minosaurs. It's dumb to think killing someone is gonna save thousands. You're going to kill thousands in a much slower pace that way.
Ryusoulger, like Kyoryuger before it, is one of those shows that I consider to be complete flops. I'm only up to the mid 30s in my watch of Ryusoulger and I just completely lost interest.
While I think the knight theme is cool, the mecha are just bland and boring, the changer is awkward, and the gimmick is just weird. I'm also not a fan of the characters, and the gear voice is just annoying in the same way Kyoryuger's was.
We came down from the super amazing show that Lupinranger vs Patranger was into the rather shallow Ryusoulger... and Kirameiger doesn't look like it'll bring me back to Sentai either.

EDIT: I also find it funny that they are doing Dinosaur Knights as I had an idea for a team at the time of Power Rangers Megaforce for Arthurian Knights.

I hope Hasbro do away with the rookie red or season red ranger 😒. I want all 5 rangers to either be descendent of the original knights or knights brought out of hyper sleep by Merlin 🧙🏻♂️. The main villain should be Morgana (evil sorcerers). Basically Power Rangers meets King Arthur would be a nice adaptation and something different.
