- This wonderful cover by "Dorothy Moore" was released in 1976.. I believe the original of this song was back in 1966 when it was sung by "Wilma Burgess" but this cover version by Dorothy got to number 3 in the U S Charts and number 5 in the UK.. There have been so many covers of this song over the years, but this version has always been one of my favourites.. The footage here was all filmed close to my home at various beaches around the North Devon coastline.. Many thanks for watching and i hope you all have great weekend... Carl

Hi Peter, yeah there have been many covers of this song, but i have always liked this one best.. I have been to most of the counties in England, but i would say Devon was one of the best ones, and certainly one of the most scenic to live in.. I was actually born in Essex.. Thank you! I can’t recall the weather that year, but I was living in Oregon in 76’ nice mild summers in the Mountains of Southern Oregon. It’s beautiful there. I do recall my friends and I putting Baby Oil on trying to get tans! We didn’t know how dangerous it was. Thank goodness I haven’t suffered any consequences from it! Is that video near Port Isaac? I love watching “Doc Martin!” LOL! The UK is on my Bucket List!

Where was this video filmed?
It was filmed at various locations Elaine around North Devon, the first clip was at Saunton Sands, and the second short clip was at the valley of the Rocks which is in Lynmouth, and the last clips were filmed in Westward Ho, which is just ten minutes from my home there..Many thanks for watching...
