Wonders of Hungary - Vajdahunyad Castle, Budapest

The Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvár) is one of the most popular landmarks in Budapest, right next to the City Park. It is not a real castle: it was built in the 19th century to commemorate the thousand-year-old Hungarian architecture by recalling motifs of important buildings. Originally, it was made out of cardboard and wood, but as it became popular, they decided to rebuild it of lasting materials in the first decade of the 20th century; this is the version we see today. It hosts the Museum of Agriculture and many, many open-air festivals in its court and in the immediate surroundings. It gives a fantastic backdrop to the Ice Rink and Boating Lake for romantic occasions. Undoubtedly, this complex is one of the Wonders of Hungary.

Yes the original vajdahunyad castle is in Transylvania unfortunately🥲
But both are magnificent and have so original parts!
