This happened to a friend of mine. Her fella decided he was a woman after 12yrs together. His attitude was that he was ‘brave’ for deciding to be his ‘authentic’ self.. his narcissism failed to recognise that he had effectively robbed her of her of 12 yrs of her life when she could have been with someone who didn’t have these issues.. hopefully this doc will shine a light on the victims left behind and the impact on those who have loved someone who lived a lie and took them along on the ride. For me, it is a contemporary manifestation of borderline personality disorder and narcissism.. they bask in the attention this provides them without empathy for the damage left behind

The lesbian trans widows are the most tragic for me. They might choose to stay in the relationship after their female partner declares their intranity and starts mutilation treatments and living out their delusions. I call them widows because their partner has died in a way, and now the widow has to pretend to be straight to validate her ‘man’. The whole relationship revolves around the person with an identity crisis which must be exhausting.

The number of males identifying as female far outnumber females identifying as male. It's also more accepting of male homosexuals than lesbians. Females are under more pressure to be conservatively behaved, whereas males have more flexibility especially with sexual behaviour and identity.

Are you saying your wife decided to call herself a man? If so I guess you could be part of a documentary one day especially if you live in Western Europe or North America, where I'm sure there must be a growing number of unfortunate men whose wives have joined the trans train. They would be equally as interesting and sad stories. Kids whose mom is calling herself dad has got to be a mind fck. Divorce courts often favour women so I wonder how that plays out. Do they let a mentally delusional female calling herself dad be deemed the best carer or are they allowed to take it into consideration? It has to be some social stigma for men to tell family, friends and workmates their wife is now saying she's a husband. I'm sure these stories will get told.

Not in India they don't. There is very few females who identify as men in India. It is a patriarchal society when it comes to gender identity choice. Part of this is due to India historically having a "3rd gender" for males who identify as women.
How many forty year old women are transitioning like these fetishistic men? They don't. Perhaps we should ask why so many teen girls and young women don't want to be seen as women. Many have been sexually abused, physically assaulted, are on the autism spectrum, many don't fit society's definition of "attractive," and a significant number are lesbians. You're not angry at these women who have also suffered (albeit differently) you're in extreme pain. I agree with you, they aren't widowers.
