- Michelle Joy Phelps caught up with Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia immediately after he defeated Jake Paul via Split decision. Fury reflected on the journey getting to the fight admitting he's barely spent time with his 3 week old baby girl, feeling relieved he can shut the hecklers up now that he's proven he can beat Paul, his thoughts on Jake saying he was ill twice in camp leading the fans to boo him, getting ranked by the WBC, and begs Drake to never bet on him seeing that Jake Paul was victim to the "drake curse."

All the Fury's are very well spoken, very intelligent and philosophical. It's a credit to John and how he raised them. Really one of a kind and is clear to see why they are so successful. There is a fantastic little documentary out there on Jon, he lives without electricity by himself for months at time in a little wagon, completely rejects modernity, eats well, treats people well, exercises alot, understands the value in a man being able to defend himself and his family, he is a bit like a philosopher of old.

@@tjp_real Tommy literally dominated, outclassed, and embarrassed Jake. The knockdown was due to poor balance not a heavy punch, that’s why he got back up immediately and if you look close, he wasn’t rocked at ALL from the punch. It wasn’t a damaging punch.
and I’m sure you have no idea how scoring a fight works, because even with the knockdown, say you give Jake a 10-8 round that round, ok? Tommy still won the other 6 rounds so jakes 10-8 does nothing u cornball 🤡

Jake really had no answer for Tommy's Jab tonight he was getting tagged with it every round. I am hoping he learns from this fight. What an amazing fight I hope I get to actually see the full version if its released. Both guys went at it hard but Tommy was clearly the far better boxer here.

Tommy was actually the perfect opponent for Paul, record wise, experience wise, skill wise and size… if he won it would have been perfect for his brand as a boxer. Full credit to Tommy, so much pressure on the guy from his family more so lol😂 and he came out on top.

Whatever anyone says Tommy had a lot of pressure on his shoulders. He had a lot of pro boxers picking Jake to win, a lot of these influencer boxing fans giving him constant abuse of “Tommy Fumbles”, he’s just become a dad and had to be away on camp. Just remember he’s only 23, pretty much a part time boxer and doesn’t even have a proper trainer but even with all that was still able to win nearly every round and show that just having the fundamentals down is enough to beat these youtuber guys. He got the win and should improve from the experience. He’ll never win a British or world title though but that’s fine, he could fight Jake again and then KSI and retire a very rich man 😂
Yeah this pretty much. Now that he's had a taste for the big stage, he's not going to be able to go back down to undercards and work up. He's good, but not world title material. Nothing wrong with that.

Tommy has an interesting selection of shots, especially counters, he really lays into the body and as soon as it seems like there's a pattern, he mixes it up with a massive uppercut. I think if he works on his shot selection and definitely works on staying behind his jab at range, he could be a formidable contender.
