One of two feeders running at the moment, helping prepare the wood close by to a large release pen the arrival of some game birds for later on in the season.
All vermin shot, with permission of the landowner, and within legal guidelines here in the UK

He probably died in the brambles behind the tree
🤞🏻… No blood nothing …. And as I said the GoPro said otherwise but we can hope …. Might be why that feeder has been quiet last couple of visits if he’s told all his mates 🤔

I slowed it down to 25% and zoomed in ,you definitely hit it ,ok you cant see the impact but its head shot round on impact
Resilient little things sometimes, all the years I’ve been shooting them, they still surprise me. Certainly as a species their ability to thrive and survive is amazing

That wasn't a miss, it spun him round
@@ianc4901 if only that was true, he actually ran off round in a circle waited and the disappeared off to the pond to the left of the feeder, spotted him on the GoPro footage a little later 🤷🏼♂️ I’ll see him again sometime…. Saw one this weekend with the opposite eye missing … didn’t miss that one 😏
@@TuftyPatrol You can hear the impact but no debris is kicked up and his head spins around, that was a solid hit but too low to stop him straight away, he is able to scurry off but won't last long, you won't see him again. 👍
