I just had a mini breakdown re-watching this. I hope everything gets back to normal again soon so that people can dance and be nice to each other again.
Oh come on, people in the uk were never nice to each other.. they constantly wine, accuse people of not being pc correct, live to torment people on SM.. covid taught them nothing !!!! now look at the state of the uk, a worldwide JOKE.. as usual they thought the grass was greener leaving the EU, another cock up
This proves how easy it is to make people happy! I was at Liverpool Street on my way to work that morning, and I will never forget the big smile they did put on my face for the whole day! AWESOME!
12/24/23 and I think I revisit this video at least once a month. I remember seeing it hit CZcams and go viral 14 years ago and it’s still such magic. I miss these days. The days of just pure joy just because, flashmobs were truly such a beautiful thing, we need them back. We need more 2000’s back, less phones, less “do it for views” culture, more of “let’s just do this to feed some souls, ours and others JUST BECAUSE”.
Well choreographed and executed, at a time when this was novel and exciting. I remember it being broadcast on prime time Channel 4 with only a cryptic reference beforehand. There was a documentary about the making of this, broadcast just afterwards. One lady interviewed said she was only passing through Liverpool Street station, happened to be in a foul mood, but this flash mob had her skipping on clouds as she left.
dumplings1997 - There’s so many awesome aspects; the way it ‘accretes’ new participants until you realize damn near everyone on the main floor was in on it; the choreography; and the fabulous ending where they all instantly revert back to a crowd of random strangers after the last note. Somebody brilliant thought this up. STILL delighted by it in 2018!
Music: "Shout" - Lulu "The only way is up" - Yazz "Don't cha" - Pussycat Dolls "The blue danube waltz" - Johann Strauss "Get down on it" - Kool & the Gang "Since you've been gone" - The Brian May Band "My boy lollipop" - Millie Small "Do you love me" - The Contours

I will never ever, ever forget this video. I go back to it every time I need to be reminded that I am not the only needs a little joy in my life. T-Mobile, whom I am a loyal customer, released this video 14 years ago on this year. I remember being one of the first to see this video. Maybe somewheres between 20 to 50 people had already seen it. I had immediately liked it then. T-Mobile is amazing, and to do something like is simply extraordinary. These people worked for only a matter of weeks to pull this off. Great video!
MY GOODNESS!!! Life is nothing but one EXTRAORDINARY MIRACLE!!!!! and we ARE part of it! Paradise is here and now. please don't give up! help cultivating it more and more!
they truly nailed this! the way the dancers gradually start to join in to make it seem more spontaneous, the public getting involved and being genuinely happy to witness what's happening. just wonderful. ads like this will stand the test of time. t-mobile really knew what they were doing
11 years and I still keep coming back to Thule trilogy if the best adverts ever!! This one, welcome home and everyone singing in London......INCREDIBLE!!
I was in a difficult place in my life when I first saw this. I am in a worse place now. It makes me smile every time. It may be staged, but it’s beautiful.
This is STILL my favourite flash mob video out there, even with so many others being made all the time. The energy and the music and the dancing just make it so much fun! I would have loved to have been one of the dancers, or at least to have seen it in person. It may be an advertisement, but it's a darned good one! :)
Hi from 2021. I used to work right beside the station on that day. I remember the whole thing and the electric atmosphere. Every now and then I come here to rewatch the whole thing as it gives me true happiness and a bit of nostalgia.
Sometimes I wish things like this would happen every day xD how wonderful would life be if everyone just randomly burst into song or simultaneous dance. Fantastic!
Just said exactly the same to my youngest daughter (who's half English/half Greek) Having spent 26yrs in Greece has made me realise just how much I miss being in UK
00:13 - "Shout" - Lulu & The Luvvers 00:28 - "The Only Way Is Up" - Yazz 00:40 - "Don't Cha" - The Pussycat Dolls 00:54 - "The Blue Danube Waltz" - Johann Strauss 01:19 - "Get Down On It" - Blue 01:30 - "Since You've Been Gone" - Rainbow 01:38 - "My Boy Lollipop" - Millie 01:51 - "Do You Love Me?" - The Contours
Bet that was fun wish I had been there 12 year's ago on 15th January 2009 this advert was much needed in 2009 with the awful Recession credit crunch we were facing since 2008 to have a great love and exercise with great music such a shame we don't have adverts like these no more bloody miserable spiteful life 😢 💔 nobody deserves unhappiness like with this on going pandemic and awful Recession seeing this T Mobile Ad has made me happy on 23rd February in covid lockdown im feeling a bit more positive now thank you so so much for this advert ❤ 💙
Man watching this right now with all the riots and bs happening in the world and US, and Covid, this really made me get super emotional. The video so amazing, even for a commercial, but the vision that everyone coming together to dance and spread this inspiring moment is just filling my hear with so much joy.
So back in 2009 this aied on channel 4 and I recorder it off my PC, I was the first to upload it. T-Mobile emailed me and asked if I wanted to feature in their next "flashdance" video, I said hell yeah! That video was the infamous Peter Crough dance 😂, we all had a great time filming it and I love showing everyone - (much at my expense)
HEY!! GREAT STUFF!! NEAT&SUPERB!!! BROUGHT A SMILE TO MY FACE!!! LIFE'S TO SHORT!!! ITS NOW EMULATED ALL AROUND THE WORLD-THANKS T-MOBILE!!!! A PAT&HAT'S OF TO THE INVENTOR OF COURSE!!!!!!! FROM (U.K.) FAN.

The good times when life was good and smartphone-free.

Definitely on my favorites list!!❤
Me also! It's my favorite flash dance!
This was the FIRST flash mob dance I ever saw and still the BEST!!!!!
Nah. This was a commercial. I much prefer the one at Bondi Beach - amateur, but genuine and honest.
@@Shady-qs4pt don't matter that it's a commercial. its still one of the best I have ever seen and it's still awesome.
Definitely the same. I just showed me gf hahahah
@@Kinseliplier I agree with you 100%!!

Awesome observation man. That coffee shop person is doing the same steps, wow
I hope people won awards for this ad. 14 years later and it's still SO good.

Sound of music Antwerp station flashmob
We just watched this in our English class with my 12yo students. It was in our English course book. Enjoyable indeed. Cheers
10 years later and it still the best

"Don't cha" - Pussycat Dolls

"Get down on it" - Kool & the Gang
"Since you've been gone" - The Brian May Band

Just one little correction, Russ Ballard did "Since you've been gone" first and the Brian May Band covered him.
Either way, this version is by Rainbow.

Watching this video in a second wave in a locked down London and sobbing. I miss our wonderful city and people everywhere.
I love this flash mob the best, just because it's so gradual and you get to see it unfold with dozens of people joining in continuously.
Those old ladies at 1:32 KILLED IT! Whoop whoop!
If only we could do this instead of wars :(
Start by banning islam.
4x4 & Ponds UK you're stupid

Dude, I hope you're okay
Oh man, seeing people join in one by one gives me chills. I don't know why, seeing it all come together looks so cool.
I was coming down the tube halfway in, thinking: WTF is going on.
It was great :)
But this video is like 7 years old now... And you only discovered it last year?
Same
@@milodack1599 When he said "tube" he meant the "underground" or "metro" not youtube...
