ཐེངས་འདིའི་ཨ་རིའི་རླུང་འཕྲིན་ཁང་གི་ཀུན་གླེང་ལས་རིམ་ལ་སྐལ་བཟང་འཇིགས་མེད་ལགས་ཀྱིས་རྒྱལ་མཆོག་སྐུ་ཕྲེང་གཉིས་པ་དགེ་འདུན་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མཆོག་དགུང་གྲངས་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་གསུམ་ཕེབས་སྐབས་དྭགས་པོ་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་གླིང་གི་མཁན་པོ་གནང་སྟེ་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པའི་དྭགས་གྲྭའི་ཆོས་དབྱངས་གསར་གཏོད་གནང་བ་ད་ལྟའི་ཆར་རྒྱ་གར་དྭགས་པོ་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་གླིང་གྲྭ་ཚང་དུ་རྒྱུན་འཛིན་གནང་བཞིན་པའི་སྐོར་བགྲོ་གླེང་ཞུ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པས་དུས་ཐོག་གསན་གཟིགས་གནང་བར་ཞུ།།
The Great Chant of the 2nd Dalai Lama holds a historical and cultural significance in Tibetan Buddhism. It originated during the 15th century when the 2nd Dalai Lama, Gendun Gyatso, resided in the Dhakpo Monastery. During his stay in Dhakpo Monastery, Gendun Gyatso composed this distinctive chant by drawing inspiration from various root texts of Buddhism. Later shared this chant with the monks of the Dhakpo Monastery, where it gained popularity and eventually spread throughout different regions of Tibet.
