If you do F L F L clockwise back left corner L F L F you’ll three cycle the petals independently. Your first method would have been successful if you’d found that!

You can definitely do the diamonds first, wings next, and then the corners. After making the diamonds and placing the wings, you 3 cycle the petals and then rotate the corner. Then undo your 3 cycle and turn the corner back.

Super helpful vid/semi tutorial! I just spent about three hours and a lots of extra stickers figuring out a five- cycle of the petal pieces. My method will still work, but will definitely take a lot longer, might still be fun though. Like you, I knew that there had to be a simpler way of going about things. I plan on solving this puzzle tomorrow. I'm going to try my method idea first, however your tips and tricks will definitely be my fallback for when I inevitably get frustrated lol. Big time thanks for the tips!

Hahahaha this video is great. I'm struggling to finish off my butterflower cube for the first time and after a few days of grinding at it I've decided to look for a hint. It looks like JR is making all the same mistakes/trying all the same approaches I've done so far. Glad I'm not alone in this sturggle

Thank you! I'd avoided looking at the solution for a while. I started the same way you did.. But, nope.
Finally, I'm on my way to finish this beautiful monster.
BTW, I go to puzzle crate's inventory items. That works out for me.
