For me EXO-SC is very important, it gave Sehun an opportunity to show that he also has a beautiful voice and that he is more than just a rapper and a dancer (which is also very good), usually SM does not give him those opportunities. Thanks ❤️✨

Even EXO sub units have their own vibes different from EXO. Everyone thought that EXO SC will have have a hip hop and powerful songs for them being a duo of rappers but they surprised us with Chill songs.
It was actually Chanyeol's studio that produced On Me! Sehun actually had to fight SM to keep this as his solo track as they wanted him to choose something else as a solo. Both Chanyeol and Sehun wrote lyrics for both their albums and Chanyeol's studio is involved in the production of most songs, Sehun is credited with helping on some of them as well. Both the SC albums are really special since it's THEM and their taste in music. They did say they liked the 1BV album a bit more because they've put in personal stories and experiences into the songs

FUNFACT: Some fans didn't like that there were 2 ladies in 'What a life' MV and they voiced it out. So Sehun put so many female dancers in his 'On Me' MV just to annoy them 😂😂
Fun fact: SM didn't want On me for Sehun's solo song but he fought for it because Chanyeol and his close friends made this song and he wrote the lyrics along with Gaeko, SC's main producer and also a member of the legendary hip hop group Dynamic Duo. Chen actually featured in two of their songs and they are amazing. Nosedive even won a MAMA award.
SC music is so easy to just vibe to. Honestly anything Chanyeol touches is gold, and I love that Sehun gets the chance to write his own raps and produce. This goes to show that EXO doesn't need SM's fingers in their production to make great music.

To answer your question, ON ME was produced by Chanyeol's studio and almost all of EXO-SC songs esp. in 1BV album. Sehun said SM didn't want him to release ON ME but he insisted because his Chanyeol hyung's studio made that for him and he loves it.
Every song by Exo-SC are masterpiece tbh i never listen to song by them and said nah it’s not my style. They know what people love to listen while also enjoying doing it together. I love their relationship so much each one of them make the other shine more same when they in Exo. Let’s appreciate their work and support them and thank you so much caitlin for reacting and appreciating them ♥️

There is another part to "ON ME" which is Chanyeol's solo "Nothin'". The MV is also a shortened version so once you've reacted to it definitly check the full song out as well. "Nothin'" is legit one of my favorite Kpop songs, Chanyeol did so well on it.

On me and Chanyeol's Nothin' have only short version MVs, but the songs are full length on the album 😻 These two represent the guys so well too. >.< On Me was written by Chanyeol and Sehun had to fight SM to let him use it in the album! I'm glad he persisted because it's perfect. There are some awesome references in there too, like Dogko which is half the title of a web drama Sehun played in Dogko Rewind. When they show the dog he also mentions Vivi (Bibi) which is his dog 💞 the way he included him in the MV was precious 😭
They pretty much produce the songs themselves along with Chanyeol's studio 519 and some other producers like Gaeko. That's why the songs fit them so well. It's how they want their music to be.

Sehun got the idea and wrote the lyrics to that on the plane. Apparently his lyrics had to be toned down a bit XD I would love to know the ones he wrote XD
10cm has a very different voice compared to the guys so I get where you're coming from when you said you wish there was a hint of it before the last part 💕
He has collaborated with another Exo member before too and there the voices are not as different. The song is called Bye Babe and it's a collaboration with Chen. Totally different vibe too.
EXO-SC is a blessing for sure. Sehun never had that many parts in Exo songs (DFTF is an exception and I believe The War album too) so he can show off here 💞 it's a shame they don't really have choreography, but we can't have everything I guess XD
