I have found that I am not using my mini bags much this year. So often when I do go out it’s just to do errands or grocery shopping, and I prefer to have a medium sized bag with a slightly larger capacity to hold extras like masks, hand sanitizer and gloves. Mini bags are ideal for going out in the evening or to festivals or parties where you want to just have your essentials. And sadly those just aren’t happening right now. And you made such a great point about tending to reach for bags that are durable and that you don’t have to worry about hand sanitizer. You always give such good information and real life experience about using your bags. Thanks for this video!

I’m currently loving the LV Felicie Pochette in the empreinte leather and the Gucci WOC which I wasn’t able to get in the pink unfortunately but managed to get in a dark nude colour!

Love this!! I wanted to say that I wear my Chanel WOC often, and it works SO well for me!...but, then I remembered that I also put a larger bag in the boot of my car filled with items that I MIGHT need! 😉😂👜. I AM sad about the YSL Uptown, though. It is SO beautiful!! 😢

You can opt to get the lou Camera bag of YSL since this is a larger version of the lou Mini. I have it and it fits so much for such a small bag. Love your collection of mini bags.

My “worst” mini bags are the ones that are way too small to fit anything or scratches easily. However I did get a Kate Spade one with Minnie ears that I LOVE even tho it’s tiny. It’s just adorable and saffiano leather is hard wearing
Great video, Amie! For me, one of the surprisingly best mini bag purchases was the Gucci Marmont Super Mini in Red. I wore this bag on repeat so much earlier this year into summer. One of my worst mini bag purchases was the LV Felicie in Damier Azur. Not sure why I don’t love it (still have the bag); just a bit too small of a bag for my liking.
Ohh I can see that about the Felicie! Isn't it funny how bags surprise us? Like even now, after countless bag purchases, I'm still surprised about what I really love and what I'm only 'meh' about!

I love mini bags more than large ones as I can never find my stuff in the larger bags when I need to reach for something in a hurry. That Lady Dior is so beautiful but yes if you are afraid to wear it because its so delicate there's no point:)
I have a black lamb skin Diorama WOC that is so durable and carefree. I love it. I have taken it everywhere and banged it around and not a scratch. It’s tiny but I can fit in what I need. I love mini bags because I’m 5’3” and they look better on me

Hi Amie, Lady Dior is a beautiful bag to display; however, it is not a functional bag to carry. I totally agree with you. I prefer Senreve over Tory Burch bags. Enjoy watching all your videos.

I really enjoyed this. I especially like how you showed what fits in each bag. Would you be able to do one like this for medium sized bags and totes? That would be so helpful.
I only have two mini bags which I use as evening bags and even then they aren’t that mini. When you reach the age of needing to carry reading glasses as well as sunglasses everywhere mini bags become obsolete. The first I have is a Chanel Diana in black lambskin, which is my at home evening bag. The single flap means that it fits a ton compared to the current small double flap. The second is the Oroton Odeion clutch. The Duchess of Cambridge has that one in blue and it’s the most brilliant clutch of all time. It looks small but fits my large list of essentials easily. Due to the hard shell I use it as my travelling evening bag. When I travel I still carry a lot but away from home I can cross keys and sunglasses off the list for evening. It’s such a brilliant clutch that I now have 4 of them in different colours; pink and blue for summer holidays, black for winter holidays and gold for formal occasions.
The worst one I have owned is the Rebecca Minkoff Bree Circle bag. It held hardly anything and turned out to be usless for me. It also had wear on it when it arrived due to the imprint of the handles on the sides during shipping. It was a CZcams made me do it purchase that went really wrong. I tried for a year to sell it and ended up having to give it away. No more circle bags, or Rebecca Minkoffs, for me.
Circle bags are so tricky - I had a similar experience. I love the look of them but the shape does limit the capacity.
My mum was exactly the same! She only used larger bags because she had to carry so many glasses with her. She just got laser eye surgery though and so now she's right back to mini bags. It always seems to come full circle haha :)
And yes! Planning on doing other sizes next :)
Ooh good. Thank you. Everyone else seems to do lots of reviews on mini bags and nothing else, but I know you love your tote bags as much as I do. They really are one of the great inventions of the 21st century. Back when I was your age the choice of large bags were briefcases or the granny string or straw bag and nothing else. Whilst I do like straw bags in context they aren’t acceptable for work.

Ooohhhh, I recently purchased a bag from Aussie designer Mimco that I clearly knew was too small for my phone AND I never go out at night (even before lockdown) but here we are, right? It was gorgeous. No regrets, baby!!!

You hook the chain on the circle metal part of the zipper. Works fine when the flap is closed but is a pain when you need to get something.
Sorry to hear it didn't work out with your small Lady Dior, that bag is so you. Would you consider getting it again in a less delicate material like patent or velvet?
I literally just last weekend bought a mini lady but I went for patent. I wanted lambskin but I was terrified of it being delicate so I’m glad I went with that decision after hearing this.

A question: how do you attach the chain on the YSL purse? I only saw one metal buckle on one side of the purse.
So I have the sasme clutch in crema soft and like Amie used the Senreve gold chain. I buckled them both on the o ring, pulled the chain under the flap and when closed it worked. Not the best and I'm not sure I did it right either!

I love the look and size of mini bags since I’m petite, but they’re just not practical as they can’t hold much. That and WOC , love it but can’t hold what I need it to hold.

I had to laugh out loud when I realized your mini bags were not what I was thinking. I've gotten so use to seeing those tiny, tiny bags that are good for hanging on the side of a bigger bag, that your mini bags looked huge. Almost like Gulliver's Travelers and the Lilliputians.

I think it just depends on how frequently you're planning on using it. Lambskin for an everyday bag isn't a great idea but for occasional use, it's totally fine :)

Chanel mini is my favorite, would get one in every color in caviar if I could but I used my Louis Vuitton Nano Turenne the most. Celine Nano didn't work out for me bc same reason as you, I had other bags I want to use more.

Always appreciate your recommendations! Funny enough, I went for the Uptown Chain Wallet a couple months ago over the Uptown Pouch and the Mini Lou. I actually find the size works for me really well (can fit my iPhone, keys (don’t use a key holder), cards in the card holder it came with, and chapstick) and it’s low maintenance (ie don’t worry about hand sanitizer hands on it). Bonus: I love that the chain can come off to become a clutch if needed.
Found the Uptown Pouch to be not versatile enough since it couldn’t be a WOC/crossbody (it is gorgeous though) and Mini Lou was too casual. I have to admit the shape of the Wristlet is beautiful - wish I had seen it a a few months ago 🤣 - although for me, it seems to be less functional/transitional.
