  • John Eustace goals - 2003 - 2004
Solihull born Eustace began his career in the top flight with Coventry City, making his debut during the 1999/00 season. He made 98 starts and scored 10 goals for the Sky Blues but suffered relegation in 2002/03. Tony Pulis signed him for Stoke in July 2003 as a replacement for the departed Brynjar Gunnarsson. Eustace hit some fine form in the first half of the campaign, netting five goals before his season was bought to an end in February due to a injury. Fitness problems would seriously restrict his playing time over the years, he made eight starts in 2004/05 but then missed the whole of the 2005/06 season. He managed another seventeen starts the following year before returning to more regular action in 2007/08 when he featured 29 times. He was eventually sold to Watford in January 2008 as Stoke moved to replace him with Glenn Whelan. He enjoyed a largely injury free five years at Vicarage Road, playing 168 games and scoring 16 goals before moving on to Derby County in 2013.

One of the best midfielders I've ever seen at Stoke, gutted he was injured alot but Pulis shouldn't have let him go to Watford! He'd have done well in the prem with stoke. At also wanted to come back to celebrate with them when they got promotion. Says it all, class bloke.
