God I'd with us....even in the storm. He speaks peace to our hearts and to any storm. I will trust and not be afraid.
Unfortunately, JPS will cut the power before the worst of it tomorrow, and the back-up generator never works at my local cell tower. So, no Starlink (dish is coming off the roof soon, anyway), no 4G, no nothing. As with many people here, I'll be incommunicado at some point early Wed. However, my roof is concrete, I have food, beer, rum, smokes, herb, and my 1500L water tank is full. Plus a DC converter to run the laptop from a spare car battery to watch movies. Could be worse.

@@dphuntsman I'm near Ewarton/Linstead NW St Catherine. I love it. Costly for the dish to start, but then just 7,000 a month. Great up-time, 100-200 Mb/s speed, 1 TB a month before it throttles (most I've used in a month so far is 450 GB). Couldn't get fibre-optic down my lane, and was hotspotting from my Flow phone before with a tiny data cap. Just brought the dish in (it's very small) and using phone 4G now. Afraid it will disappear into the bush during the storm.

I am in Jamaica there is a calm before the phenomenon happening right now. Its very very still. I am on high ground and a good distance away from the sea shore so the Storm surge will not reach were i am.

so 2 hours ago it was about 300 miles away. from land to the eye. the outer bands are about half way which is 150 miles. moving at 22 miles per hour. so by now the outer bands are about 100 miles away. so moving 22 miles per hour the outer bands will start to affect land in about 5 hours. 4 am
