I love this tarkin yellow deck. I first started playing it after watching it beat the Control Matchup, and I've been playing it religiously ever since.

I've played Magic since 94 and I genuinely think this game is better than MTG. The set is expertly built and every decision really seems to matter between what to resource, planning your first plays based on the opposing leader and the back and forth...it's very strategic imo. I'm not crazy about a good portion of the Disney Star Wars characters, however the way I look at it is, it's some weird alternate timeline where they exist and are cooler somehow.

Side question- any tips on beating control/avenger? I feel like what I've been doing is trying to keep at least 2 units on the board, buff them, and pinging their base when I can. Then avenger comes out and I'm in trouble. I can usually try to delay and I saw in a previous game devastator and relentless came out to help with that. Anything else I should be doing in general against control?

Tarkin unit from the sideboard helps as well to give you more fuel to beat them up and can also be a good target to sacrifice to avenger
