It works because there's no carpet or any other kind of material that sucks up sound. Tile all around echoes which equals good acoustics since everything can be heard. Carpet sucks up sound so you can't hear all that well in well carpeted areas.

I would probably play in a bathroom too just for the acoustics. And I love how playful they are, my lead guitarist is so tense at practices and it gets kind of annoying,
actually its not that uncommon for musicians to play in the bathroom, the acoustics are awsome in the bathroom.

Yeah it would sound sound better if it was all acoustic guitars and the bassist. But hey, maybe the drummer just knows how to play the drums, or they just wanna try sumthin new.
