Marisa is among the very few touhou character to have and use missiles, it's not such a random fit for the Soldier
I don't know, her being the fast, in-and-out, job done dirty kind of problem solver makes me think she'd be a better scout than anything

Sakuya as Spy reasons list:
1. Both seem to be french, but the exact origin is unknown.
2. Both are well-mannered and elegant.
3. Spy is known to have a grey beard, and is speculated to have silver hair too.
4. Continuing previous point, both of them are probably much older then they look.
5. Carrying knifes and pocket watch, of course.
6. Ability to disappear in the middle of the fight.
7. Sakuya is also capable of creating another Sakuya and making it appear in front of her, which will execute a different action to that of the original, just like the dead ringer.
Sakuya as French? Y’know, I could support that.

5:11 Well , in canon both Heavy and Yuyuko have a more inteligence and knowledge what most characters suppose or think they have(Heavy with his mastery of literature and Yuyuko with he hundreds of years worth lessons and knowledge)
one thing's for sure, great stuff comes from touhou and tf2 being friends. seeing tf2 versions of chirumiru ultimately introduced me to touhou. no need to overthink it, as we can just enjoy living in the moment
4:59 wrong, while meiling does fit soldier in personality, soldier never has to sleep or has a chill personality, a perfect personality and skill match for soldier would be Ukko, as both are mentally stupid and destructive.
Yuyuko does fit Heavy, but Keine also fits heavy in personality.
Personality refers more to general character traits - it's not intended to be a perfect personality match (ie. Pyro is not a vampire). It often depends on what trait you want to emphasize - parodying Soldier's love for America would lead to a Meiling parody, not an Okuu one, even though Okuu is more fitting.
Ukko? Who? Is that a shortened name because that's not even on the wiki.

The thing I like in these two communities is that they're the most wholesome communities I ever joined. Doesn't mean it doesn't have problems, but it is certainly the most friendly for me.

BTW, the touhou project discord had a discussion about which classes best fit the tf2 members and their subclasses and i had an entire notepad saved let me just

Demoman > Suika
Heavy > Yuugi
Engineer > Nitori/Yumemi
Medic > Eirin on crack
Sniper > Reisen Inaba/Reisen 2/Reimu (dont ask on why reimu)
Spy > Koishi/Clownpiece on crack (clownpiece makes people paranoid/insane, professional spies also make people paranoid, at least thats what the discord said)

1:26 at the same time, mokou is is linked with fire when that's not her power justo because of her Phoenix style, her actual abilities are more like "general Magic" and obviously being an immortal

Something i want to get clear, is that Suika can actually throw grenades and be destructive when getting drunk.
She canonically throws grenades?
@@DeltaPie 2 of her attacks in the fighting games consist in throwing grenades, her spellcards also look very destructive.
@@somefries3101 Ah, I see. I was moreso referring to the modern-day grenade rather than an energy orb explosion, but I can see how that can be interpreted as an Ability replacement.

Cirno = Scout (both are 9 balls)
Marisa = Soldier (flying methods: a broom and a fri'ing rocket)
Flandre = Pyro (destroyer of worlds but have good intentions: one wants to play while the other wants to play)
Suika = Demo (druncc)
Utsuho = Heavy (both are from Motherland: Utsuho's right foot resembles the Elephant's foot from the Ch*rnobyl incident)
Nitori = Engy (builds of course)
Eirin = Medic (doctor; discovered immortality; and conducts experiment with their patients)
Reisen = Sniper (pew pew)
Sakuya = Spy (is French)

1:28 In the fighting game spinoffs, Sanae's system card gives the user passive regeneration. It's the only system card that gives healing. (Not including Alice's card "Doll Shield" which increases your max health, which increases current health proportionately)

It is most likely the miracles, though I don't think they've ever been used to a healing effect.

I don't know much about Hatate but that could work, although it's not her main association.
Well, someone forgot about the pc98 engineers, Rika and Rikako.
I address this briefly at 1:13 for a few frames. Since this is talking about how the fandom interacts with characters, PC-98 characters are not counted in the equation as they are not very popular. It proves to be a correct assumption as they did not show up in any parodies I found. I did not forget about them, I merely made a decision to put them out of the picture.
I will say that Rika fits the TF2 engineer much better than Rikako though, as the former has very clear connection to building machinery while the latter is more a general scientist from what I know.

Can't say I've seen that one, but that would fall under Personality.
Clownpiece would match more as Scout actually.

Yuyuko being replaced with yuyuko is most likely because they are both often described as fat, same thing goes with letty
