Hey where did you find the wiring diagram for that door ? I’m having same issue on left side rear door and am planning simply connect the two wires together so the system always thinks the door is shut .

Where are located please fix mine 😔! Ironically I believe it's the same door, same issues for sure! I've sprayed WD-40 and pb blaster it helped but didn't fix.

Could you simply connect the two wires so it always says its shut and the alarm light would stay off? I'm asking because I just got a 2002 Escape and it's got the light on constantly.

You can but then you no longer have a warning or a working dome light and that could be a safety issue. I don't want kids falling out of cars.

My 2006 Ford is jeopardizing my job when I go out in the morning and the battery is dead from the blinkers and dome lights going off all night. I've been going thru the CZcams vids and it seems it's always the damn rear right door sensor/switch that fails. If any switch should fail it should be the driver's door. I never use the right rear door yet that seems to be a constant thread with this problem. The lock agitator is dead in that door and no matter what I try that door always remains unlocked.....I'm ready to weld the thing shut. The driver's door agitator has failed as well, but that door doesn't generate random "door ajar" reports. This almost seems like a planned failure in Fords. I'm tired of going out at midnight to make sure the alarm system hasn't drained the battery when I travel for work.

I've replace the driver's door latch 3 times and the problem goes away for a few days then intermittently returns. I don't think it's a door latch problem. I've cleaned the connector at the door feed through where the harness goes into the cabin by the driver's kick panel and everything rings out. This is driving me crazy and nobody will even connect their "Launch" tool for less than $300 and I don't have the money to buy one. Ford's wiring diagrams are impossible to understand. Are there any relays that go through the PATS system that could be on the verge of an intermittent failure?

I've been having the same issue for the last several months..2005 Mazda Tribute. I have had my battery drained a few times because the overhead lights stayed on overnight.
Can you give me an idea of how much would it cost to get it fixed or is this really something I should try to DIY?

O hope you reply but if you don't have all that equipment and tools. Can I just cut the wire and plug it. Would TAHT fix the light and alarm. I get that makes the door vulnerable to break ins but would it solve the problem

I do not have a diagnosis machine so the video is no use for me

I'm sorry, but it is pretty much a necessity to diagnose cars properly.

I have a 2005 Escape would like to know what function on your Launch tool gave you the solution to the problem? I am trying to find one that is more affordable even though I may have to go big or go home on one.
