- I am opening a 1st/First Off The Line (FOTL) hobby box of 2022/23 Panini Contenders NBA Basketball for our next sports card pack break/product review! Hobby boxes have an SRP of $150 but currently resell in the mid $300 range (FOTL resells in the low-mid $700 range). Every box contains 4 8-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 2 autographs and 8-11 inserts/parallels/variations per box. FOTL boxes contain an exclusive Shimmer Premium Edition auto (blue /21 or red /5) and an exclusive Opening Night Ticket parallel /25. These boxes come with chances at pulling iconic on-card Rookie Ticket autos, SP License/Permit to Dominate case-hit inserts, various SP parallels (Championship 1/1, Cracked Ice, Stub, Clear, Game 7, Premium Edition Gold Vinyl 1/1, Gold), various hobby exclusive inserts (Lottery Ticket, Superstar, Premium Edition Rookies), on-card autos of the NBA's top rookies/stars/HOFers, rookies of Paolo Banchero, Jalen Williams, Bennedict Mathurin, Chet Holmgren, Jabari Smith Jr., Keegan Murray, & Jaden Ivey, and more! I pulled a 1 of 1 vinyl poku and a /5 red shimmer abuzukie in 2020-21 as the 2nd auto so FOTL is definitely the way to go

Contenders Basketball needed a redesign and the FOTL boxes makes the set redesign perfect in my opinion.

Opening contenders wax - football primarily- is akin to having a huge wad of hundreds, putting them in between your ring finger and little finger, rolling your window down on the freeway, and putting that hand out the window.

Love the channel, love this product, finally it’s as exciting as it always suggested it would be. Here is my more general question: I’ve been subbing and watching breaks online for about a year now. I always hear about products being “juicy” or packed with fire pulls. And if it’s not than it usually gets a thumbs down and that’s that . But if every box was packed with rare cards than what’s rare? I may not being writing this as clearly as I’d like but I feel like there is some kind of inherent contradiction in wanting to pull bangers non stop and cards staying rare. Anyone help me understand how this works? Love you packman! Nice vid once again
