    This was so funny but I don’t think I’ll ever think of a chocolate bar the same now. BTW, I was told to put a pool noodle around the bucket for comfort. I believe they also make toilet seats for the round ones.

      You are correct about the pool noodle. You just have to take extra precaution that the noodle doesn't get contaminated. With it being a sponge like material, it can easily harvest bacteria. Either wash often or replace. Great suggestion though

    Two of your videos really hit home this one, we do the same liquids only not even toilet paper or food partials . The other one is Using a weight distribution hitch on a single axel trailer our trailer loaded out weight is 3500 # axel is the same rating. I can't for the life of me see why other u tube channels can't see this. I use air bags to take out 1inch of squat and firm up rear end I can also feel better control in the steering. Thank you and keep them coming God bless you and it great to see someone with common sense and a great thinker.

    I have a tall kitchen trash can in my truck. Perfect height for me. I use trash bags that are scented. Toss in can or dumpster as soon as possible. And I have a large laundry detergent bottle for liquids, poor out in the grass. I keep a mixture of bleach, water, and dawn for that. Always keep some in it. Now since the covid thing has hit. Bathrooms for truckers can be hard to find. And I don't miss the humidity in the east or south !

    You do what you do. I do what I do. I don't see any reason not to use my black tank as designed. I have a black tank flush, and I can get it pretty clean after each trip. The campgrounds we stay at have full hookups or a dump station. No problem for us.

    • @davesrvchannel4717
      @davesrvchannel4717  Před 4 lety +2

      Jason Carter that’s awesome. Some people use their camper in an off grid situation. This info is more relevant to them. If there’s any advice from my video that’ll help you, do not put paper in toilet. It will some point get on your probes and cause false readings. Regardless of having tank flush. Thanks for watching

    • @JasonScottCarter
      @JasonScottCarter Před 4 lety +2

      @@davesrvchannel4717 we do put paper down. No problems in almost 4 years. U do have to be careful on how much you use. You can't go all crazy with it like at home that's for sure. No false readings yet. Use Happy Campers as tank treatment after and during each trip.

    • @knutblaise9437
      @knutblaise9437 Před 4 lety

      I've heard good things about Happy Camper tank treatment as well. In addition to minimizing toilet paper usage check some reviews on which toilet paper breaks down the best. Even better consider a bidet if you're in full hookup campgrounds all the time. That way you only need toilet paper if you want to dry off cleaned areas and that paper could be tossed in a bin with little to no ill odors. I just installed a Lux Bidet Neo 185 today on a toilet in the house and it was a pretty simple install. I prefer good ole toilet paper but if we encounter another tp shortage this will be nice to have. And if you can deal with being a bit wet in that area, no tp after using the bidet, this bidet under $50 will pay for itself after a few SAMS CLUB family packs of tp.

    I think this is insane. And your wife is OK with it? That said. My son uses a bucket with wood pellets and a nice seat on top for his sailboat which makes sense. I only use my small RV for 3-4 day trips at a time. I empty the grey water if necessary (especially after showers) at the campground in the grey water drain. The 20 gal. black water tank is sufficient for us for the 3-4 days. I empty this tank into my septic tank when I get home. With respect to extra weight to tow. If you empty the grey water tank then much of the weight going into the black water tank is from food you already had stored in the camper or your tow vehicle.

    i got a good laugh on this video, why have a bathroom if your not going to use it. i've been to some state run camp grounds that i don't want to use their toilets. but if you have to go , you have to go. Go in a bucket, come on. here's a tip for you use a round bucket and line the top with a pool noddle . my pop up doesn't have a toilet. my next camper will and i will use it. ( and pay the dump fee,)

      I gave cliff's notes version in video, but one show in particular I do each year while selling antiques, my camper is blocked in, and cannot move. I am there for 10-12 days. After a few days tank would be full. Nothing sucks worse than having to load up camp, just to go empty tanks. Different story of boondocking vs campgrounds with hookups and dump stations
