After being a Mac user for over 12 years I wanted to get back into PC gaming. I needed a machine that could do both games AND have a high quality screen for my illustration work. And I needed to stay within a budget. I eventually went with the HP Omen, AMD Ryzen 7 & GTX 1660 Ti. No complaints so far and the cooling gets great performance out of the Ryzen 7!

Ben, thanks for updating the video to reflect that your unit has the 60hz panel rather than the MUCH more common 144hz version. It should also be noted that the 144hz panel gives you very good color gamut (e.g., 97% sRGB vs 60Hz's 64% sRGB) and much better brightness at 300+ nits (325 nits) vs 250 nits for the 60hz panel. Bottom line is content creators....make sure you are getting the 144hz version of the panel.

Hey man, regarding the screen flex, (I've got myself HP OMEN 15 Intel i7 10th Gen 10750H with Nvidia RTX 2060), I would say there is decent amount of flexing on the screen but if you could buy a nice laptop bag with some good cushioning, it'll be just fine. I'll give you a link regarding the backpack (www.amazon.in/HP-Millennial-Backpack-Detachable-Laptop/dp/B07LB5N36Y/ref=sr_1_1?crid=14OZFWT1FWFQK&dchild=1&keywords=hp+millennial+backpack&qid=1601640405&sprefix=hp+millen%2Caps%2C291&sr=8-1). Keep in mind that if you get the standard 144hz panel the brightness is well over 300nits. For example other reviewers have recorded 327nits for the 144hz panel when meausring it with the Spyder X tool. Additionally the color gamut of the 144hz is SIGNIFICANTLY better (e.g., 97%sRGB vs 64%sRGB for the 60hz panel)..
Bottom line is make sure that you are getting the 144hz panel not the 60hz version. To be honest I've not even been able to find and HP Omen with a 60hz pane so the 144hz panel seems to be MUCH more common..but make sure you check before purchasing.

Picked up one these recently after building an AMD desktop. Did not plan on buying a laptop especially after building the desktop rig but a fault forced my hand.
The desktop is a monster Ryzen 3900x but I have been very impressed with the OMEN 15.
The main use for the OMEN 15 for me is tethered photo capture, editing and video editing at my studio. I upgraded it to 64GB ram and added a 2tb Corsair NVME to it also upon purchase. I originally wanted a RTX 2060 version but could not wait due to a faulty Dell laptop.
The OMEN 15 performs great. I often have it exporting from Lightroom ( which sucks at using current hardware ADOBE ) and rendering out videos from Davinci Resolve 16 free and I can still use it for other tasks. Best to set Lightroom going and leave it but that's more an Adobe crap code issue.
