They underestimated the effort need to maintain the system.
Bukan tak tahu buat rencana penyelenggaraan. Semua tu PhD master degree. Lepastu pakai telunjuk aje. Orang bawah technician tu semua baru keluar sekolah teknikal. Orang yang berpengalaman tapi tak nak cucuk tu dipecat. Habislah macam tu. Pengguna MRT maki maka pun tak guna..tahan aje lah.

I blame the LTA, they are pulling strain on the reserves, raising fares and leaving SMRT in charge of maintenance. While the continuation of construction for the jrl and tel is good, it also takes away money from SMRT to maintain existing systems, which results in this.
