  • The essence of Singapore River in the sixties has been captured succinctly in the profound words of George 'Squibs' Raby. His poignant commentary ignites memories to bring alive a time when life for many was very different. It draws pictures in the mind of mixed emotions and identifies thought provoking scenes. Singapore River was an oil painting in motion, a gregarious gathering of busy work tired boats, an abstract reflection on oil slick waters and a story that never ends.
