I grew up in northeast Tennessee playing in fields tgat Appalachian rookie league played in that were 330 down lines and 370 in the gaps and about 385 to 390 to straight away center field. Minor league teams played on the fields in bristol,elizabethton,johnson city and kingsport,tn.

Both team's did an outstanding job on offense considering the very good pitching in this game! Wesleyan's elite pitching rotation amazes me and their offense is just as good. Does anyone know the fastball speed of any Wesleyan pitchers?
Oh and there was nothing wrong with the ump's strike calls in this game or you would have seen a much lower score with the pitching talent of these teams.

Jones folks are naturally good athletes. My mom was a jones. I played rf and cf during my high school playing days. You did not hit balls past me in the lcf and rcf gaps. I would run them down with ease back in 1979 through 1982. Wish that I had been born 15 years later when AAU travel baseball was first becoming popular in the mid 1990's.

Just to show ya how different it is from school to school, my hs field is 308 down the lines, 348 to straightaway center, any pop fly is a homerun as well because the wind always blows out
LMAO mine was 400 around, school I went to freshman year had 300 all around though. Had a field day when we played them, 25-1(No mercy rule in NYSHS baseball at that time) and they scored the 1 run in the bottom of the 7th
