The Wild Rift Icons Global Championship (also known as Icons) is the crowning event of Wild Rift esports for the year and is the global championship for Wild Rift. The tournament welcomes 24 teams from 8 regions.

Format:
Play-ins - June 14th - 18th, 2022
■ 16 teams are divided into four groups of 4 teams, with teams from the same region shall not being drawn into the same group.
■ Double Elimination Bracket.
■ All matches are played in a Bo3.
■ Top 2 teams from each group advance to Group Stage.
■ Winners will qualify for the Playoffs.
■ Runners-up and 3rd-placed teams will face off each other in a Bo5 for the remaining Playoff spot.
Group Stage - June 21st - 25th, 2022
■ 16 teams are divided into four groups of 4 teams, with teams in the same Play-ins group shall not be drawn into the same group, while a maximum of 2 teams from the same region can be drawn into the same group.
■ Each region champion will be placed directly at this stage.
■ Double Elimination Bracket.
■ All matches are played in a Bo3.
■ Top 2 teams from each group advance to Knockout Stage.
Knockout Stage - July 1st - 9th, 2022
■ Single Elimination.
■ Quarterfinals and Semifinals are played in a Bo5.
■ Grand Finals is played in a Bo7.

Interesting. I guess ADCs are hard to play on mobile so they play AP carry in bot and top + mid + jgl AD champs instead. I like that they have a wholly different meta compared to the PC game.
Nah, it was just the meta at the time, similar to how League had a mage bot lane meta in like 2019 and still have some mages played bot like Ziggs.
