His beginning sargam alaaps and taans kills.... it makes you to mesmerise.... and becomes hariji easyi to keep you in that state even with mediocre singing ( co.pared with other singers like ghulam ali or mehendi hasan )

and he is well trained in hindusthani, Carnatic and western style...and he is ghazal singer,play backsinger all in all also
,all is there in hariharan with an amazing golden voice.......
he is legendary singer like mehedi hassan sab and ghulam ali sab......
cant compare them....they have there on power of the singing ...
You can't compare him to mehdi hassan ji because hari haran ji has much better voice than him.
Ghulam ali ji is a better comparison.... Both are blessed with exceptional voice quality.
Hari haran ji may have marginal better score because, unlike ghulam ali ji, he has mastered all branches and he doesn't have dominant punjabi accent in singing. Ghulam ali ji, unfortunately, has had this handicap.

@@elmora2655 I am sorry to say , but I don't think you have heard Mehdi Sahab even a little and if heard then I am sorry to say that you don't have good ears. U are saying that Hariji has good voice than Mehdi Sahab, once Lataji herself told that God Speaks in the Voice of Mehdi Hassan.
And for the comparison, u can't compare Hariji with Gulam Ali Sahab as he is very much senior than him and Gulam Ali Sahab has its roots deep in clasical and the person with classical knowledge can sing anything. And in your comment I read that Gulam Ali Sahab has punjabi Accent then I would say the emphasis any Gazal Artist puts on the words and Urdu with utmost clarity is only Gulam Ali ji after Mehdi Hassan Sahab.
Also Hariji cannot be compared with Mehdi Hassan Sahab as Hariji belives Mehdi Sahab as his Soul Guru and he is so much inspired by his style.
So please don't go in comparison of the artists as all the artists are flowers having there own fragrance.

Hariharan is out of the world. One must have very deep and wide musical sense to be touched by it. Definitely not for everyone. Anyone criticizing or comparing is only displaying their own musical ignorance. Won't affect him or those close to his music, for his music is eternal.

I think- this is a superb rendering by any standard. Music is universal in appeal. It has no race, religion, language, barrier, or boundary. Hariharan Saab is a promising ghazal singer; he was singing this ghazal in a style which is strikingly different from that of the great Khan Saab. After the emergence of the great Khan Saab, the emergence of Hariharan Saab on the ghazal scene of India augurs well for ghazal gayiki as a whole and India in particular because of the quality, depth, clarity and range of his voice and his control over sur, taal, and loy.

As a matter of fact Sur( Notation) and Taal( Rhythm) is the soul of the art of ghazal gayiki ! Accompanists need to supplement and complement the ghazal exponent suitably with a view to make the lasting impact on the listeners ! All said and done, the ghazal exponent is the pivot of the show !
@@amarendraborah6941 As far as this ghazal is concerned, I have found a very rare version by NFAK which is performed live with only harmonium and minimal tabla and it’s terrific without any comparison with any artist who has rendered this ghazal. Even with heavy texture of NFAK’s voice, it is simply out of the world!
