One of the reasons why I'll always remember the movie 'Coco' is because of this tune - how it is so simple yet means so much to different people. I was itching to put it on marimba so I did and here's the result!

When I first heard the slow version of this song in the movie Coco, I think there wasn't a single dry eye in the cinema! I just had to improvise it onto marimba and record it (no sheet music). I'm always impressed at how such simple tunes can mean so much to different people, and this one is no different. Thank you for listening 😁

@@skl4510: He can't just write it down and publish because it's copyrighted. He has to write it down, get it authorized by the owner of the rights and this owner is the one who can publish it. If you take these rights reeeeeally serious you're not even allowed to publish an improvisation like this on CZcams especially if you earn money with said video.

Thank you for watching man, I would love to but it's complicated to make sheet music for licensed music and it is also something I encourage people to try and play by ear as you'll appreciate it more :) There are many ways to play the melody and I reckon as long as you know that you can come up with something even better than mine!

Would’ve commented quicker but I had SOLO AND ENSEMBLE this morning. The judge enjoyed my snare solo (drum core on parade) and was in love with my sections ensemble (ballet percussion ensemble by Claude Debussy) anyways I remeber this from the movie and I like your version better!
