Bikepacking to one of Canada's Southernmost Points

Pelee Island is an island in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located in the western half of Lake Erie. At 42 km², Pelee Island is the largest island in Lake Erie and the southernmost populated point in Canada. With a population of around 230 people it goes without saying that life on the island is pretty laid back. The main attraction on the island is Pelee Island Winery, there are tours and really good food to be found at the Winery if that's your thing!
Accommodations are limited so do your research before heading to the Island. If camping is your thing than East Park Campground is really your only option. It is a small campground so I would recommend reserving a site in advance.
The Island is beautiful and relaxing place to visit, with many miles of shoreline to explore! Be warned however that the mosquitoes and fly's can be relentless at times so bring your mosquito repellent!

This was a recent trip I did on Labour Day weekend. It was nice to take a break from editing and get out for a overnighter. Unfortunately the heat and mosquitoes were pretty intense. I would like to visit the island again under more favorable conditions. I tried a couple new editing techniques in this video, some worked ok others not so much. But that's all part of learning and growing! Cheers

That looks like a great 2 / 3 day trip Dean. I agree with your comments there is something about island life it has a totally different vibe.
It was good to see all the trails we rode at the start of the year, I almost felt like I was there!
Note to self, I also hate mosquitoes!
