Great Recipe! I have to say these are amazing - the best waffles period. I love how the sourdough profile balances the sweetness of the syrup. They are light and airy yet slightly crispy fresh out of the waffle iron. Make them ❤

This is my first time watching your videos and I loved it. You did a great job. I make my own starter and now I have a huge bowl of it and needed a recipe to use the starter. I've only been making sourdough bread. Thanks for this demo. I also love your books!

These look amazing, Joanne! I don’t have a waffle iron but I have sourdough overnight pancake recipe that is super similar! It’s the best!

Can I replace sugar with honey?
Feel free! I've never tried it before but don't see why it wouldn't work. The sugar is for a touch of sweetness + food for the starter over night. I'd love to hear how it turns out if you try honey. :)

I do! Believe it or not this is where I started ☺️ I used to do sourdough recipes about a decade ago 😅 so figured I’d get back to my roots with this video♥️
