It’s the end of The Originals with season 5.
Julie Plec announced the decision on Twitter just before heading to Comic-Con for the weekend, where the show will have a panel.
“It’s both a gift and a burden to be able to control the ending of a series. Many shoes are not lucky enough to have a hand in deciding when the end has come,” she writes.
“Celebrate with us, cry with us, visit with us, watch us next spring when we air…and know that in a show about an immortal family who believes in ‘Always and Forever’, it’s never really the end of the story.”

I found the Originals more appealing to a Mature audience which was fantastic in the spin off from the VD. Flashbacks of living through the ages kept me captivating in their storyline as a family "Yes including that Bastard Mikael" we watched their eternal life and the constant struggles with it being the brutality in protecting their loved ones or out of plain boredom, greed or to simply make a point 😱to another sibling💔🖤 outrageous but all true..and last but not least we must mention the dynasty Klaus had to build and Of course the dynamics and punishments if one got out of hand a perfect location being that of New Orleans carried around in ⚰️⚰️⚰️ t
Can't wait for season 5 and I like the idea in that they will Finnish on a high note 💘unlike the VD which went a little downhill towards the end
Thankyou Julie for you imagination and thrilling TV shows which make me tune out like a man where I hear nothing ,smell nothing and never pay attention to that world which is spinning around ⚰️👣⚰️👣

thing i loved about the originals was the bloody violence but the past couple of seasons just didnt have it went from being a show for adults to show for loved up teens who wanted romance more than blood will miss the show but yeah time to end this Dawsons creek shit!!
I think the writer make a mistake when he took the storyline away from his cord characters to focus on Vincent,Hayley and Marcel. This season lack the originally that made the show unique. Which is the Originals being powerful,and their family first persona. They should never have made Marcel more powerful then Klaus and Elijah. The last thing the audience need is Marcel telling us how bad the Originals are and how he's needed to keep them in line. I think that might have the reason for the low rating and why people was tuning out.
It's turned to shit now. Unfortunately after this season.

Zayra Veraza I'm not ready to say goodbye . All my favorite shows are going off the air. First TVD, Grimm, PLL, Teen Wolf and now The Originals. The only two shows I watch that still on the air is TWD, and GOT.

Nooooooooooo this show really had the potential to got 10 seasons wtf
Hey, I will be sad for the end of The Originals, after I've satisfied this freaking curiosity of what season 5 is about. And then I will morn the fact that I have to wait 7 months or so for the season to start airing. And when it comes close to the end I will cry for the fact that the only show with vampires, werewolves, and witches (oh my) that I am capable of watching cause I'm 13, is coming to a end. The only reason why I didn't go into a full depression, when The Vampire Diaries ended was because it takes place in the same world as The Originals. Now I can only hope that after all this, I will find a new show to watch that has all the fantasy that I hunger for in TV shows, movies, and books. Until all the ladder happens I will be stuck with the 1st, this agonizingly, burning, curiosity of what season 5 is about. (Any suggestions on tv shows that are TV 14 and below based on fantasy/ fiction, please share, cause I should probly start searching now, LOL)

They are going to make a spin off for sure but i dont know if any if the cast members from the originals will be in it because julie plec said tvd left a lot of open areas to explore like the school.

Plec needed NO announcement for it was CRYSTAL clear to me once Elijah plucked those French keys & the credits rolled. Wtf!!! I thought it already ended😳. I finished season 4 where the siblings had to be separated, thus putting an end to their promise " Always and Forever " in order to save Klaus' daughter Hope. I literally cried for an hour straight cus The Originals is my life alongside The Vampire Diaries, and now you want to put me through that kind of pain again by saying there is a 5 season 😭😭. I swear if this is a lie or some kind of joke, I will start to hurt people like fr💯💯.
