Godzilla Raids Again Colorized Showcase

- Much like my Godzilla King of the Monsters (1956) colorization, this video was done with the aid of an AI program called Deoldify. While much of the day shots with humans look good or passable, the program again seems to struggle when it's only monsters on screen. Plus, since Godzilla's scenes are mostly at night in Osaka, it can be a little difficult to spot the difference from black & white to color. Overall, Godzilla Raids Again doesn't seem to benefit from Deoldify's colorization method as much as the original Godzilla.
This video was requested several times in my previous upload, so I'm glad to have gotten it out. - Zábava
Just as I pointed out in the description, the night time scenes from this film don't showcase the colorization all too well.... Sorry if this video leaves much to be desired. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Much love my little bastards ❤

This is the most terrifying Godzilla design of the Showa era, the messier details like the jagged teeth, spines, glossy white eyes, and slim build make him look like a nightmarish beast.
After Godzilla remake 2014 he look kind da cool it’s just that his eyes is kind da cool

What a classic. The horror elements are top notch in this film. And the roars for both monsters are so otherworldly/creepy. Anguiras design is genius, and the fast paced primal fight was the best in the series.
I hope Toho will sell some blu-ray colorized versions of the two 50s Godzilla movies at his 69th anniversary lol

@@andrewcrowley6331 Because he's best known for playing the part of Godzilla's sidekick, and that's all he is: some puppy with no dignity or independence or personality who just follows along with whatever Godzilla is doing. Unlike Rodan for example who is much more of an individual, with his "collaborations" with godzilla very much not being in a sidekick-esque way.
@@neo-filthyfrank1347 I’d say he’s much more than that. He’s Godzilla’s very first opponent, he’s a purely physical fighter unlike many of his peers, he has a very distinct sound, and in later iterations he has unique abilities like rolling, sonic roar and foresight into the future.
@@neo-filthyfrank1347 and as for personality, he’s characterized by being a rugged underdog fighter who won’t back down even if his opponent’s far stronger than him. There’s a great comic by IDW where he challenges Destoroyah without Godzilla’s help.

Godzilla roar and design is what sets him apart from ANY KAIJU.... he is just AWESOME and UNSTOPPABLE! even when he takes a beating he goes down swinging...he would never SUBMIT like KONG did!
Not bad! Like, really .....this is pretty dang good. I remember when colorized movies were all the rage ( I was very little, so I was very easily impressed),and then quickly fell in to the "gimmick" category again. I think it was just anyone and everyone racing to make money on any piece of black and white footage they could.
Hell....in the 90's here in Chicago...they had Night of the Living Dead in Green every St. Patty's day, hahaha. I think all they did was screw with the wave form monitor in the studio as it aired, giving it a greenish hue without distorting the picture. It was fun to watch again, but the novelty wore thin once more when other stations tried with other films

Why the hell doesn't this video have more likes and views and more importantly why doesn't this guy have more subscribers this guy is the gateway to basically seeing the 50's Godzilla movies fully colorized I mean this guy was dedicated enough to make an entire eight minute video showing Godzilla and Anguirus fighting in color that requires dedication time and most importantly money help this guy sore to the top help them beat cocomelon PewDiePie and T-Series in their ratings we need more quality content CZcamsrs like this guy

its AI colorized, the only work anyone does is a few clicks. you can do it to, it's called deoldify
I think if anything, this shows the quality of the film was substantially better than Gojira. Closer to Rodan.

Angurius is more fierce in this movie.
He's literally putting the hurt on Godzilla.
Unlike the later versions of him.
he still puts up a good fight, it just that the enemies are way more powerful than him. Even though he's my favorite, I can't say he's the most powerful.

Real amazing my boi, I always thought that the little island were Godzilla and Anguirus are fighting, was covered in snow or something like that lmao
It's super desaturated and not always there, but when it is, the AI seems to be consistently making Godzilla and Anguirus kind of brown-ish. That's really interesting. Also the snow capped mountains in Kamiko Island at the end look really good.

King Kong vs Godzilla is in color silly, it was made 1962 that year Technicolor was open for any company to use, it was the least accessible to companies that really didn’t have enough for their budget. in 1959 when the 7th reales for the og Gojira 1954 French version, TOHO was able to not only afford more movies, but they also were able to make not only Mothra, but also King Kong vs Godzilla and many more, and could also afford Technicolor.
Trust me, if you were a film company back in the 50s you would’ve struggled keeping up with trying to become successful and use technicolor to edit.
Techincolor ises 3 films of color to create films, tv shows and ect.

Though only 10 years has passed since the end of World War II, it`s hard to believe that such awesome movie was produced. It`s great entertainment even by today`s standard.

I was a young boy when I was taken by a friend to see this. I was extremely naive then and thought this film, called Gigantic the Fire Monster, was real, a documentary. I was horrified beyond words until my mother explained it was done with "trick photography." That impressed me even more and now, 50 years later, I'm a filmmaker. I owe a debt of gratitude to the Japanese film artists of that long ago day.

This is definitely a good movie. About when they started fighting to a point. You would think somebody was pressing fast forward on a tape.🤔 They must have told the men in the suits. Make a look as real as possible. I don't care how messy it gets and boy did i't get to that point. 😂💯
