Story Outline:
There exists a world where islands of all shapes and sizes float in a sea of clouds. It is a world forsaken by the gods. Once upon a time, people known as the Astrals attempted to seize control of this world with their overwhelming might, but the citizens of the skies repelled the invaders, thus ushering in a new era of peace.
Living on a little-known island in a remote part of the skies, you find a letter left behind by your father telling you to set off for a legendary island. However, before you leave, you meet a mysterious girl named Lyria, inevitably setting the wheels of fate in motion.

Saw the new gameplay and the updated combat I love the new changes they made. I'm looking forward to playing this. Plus new versus version
If anything taught me, is that a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad. Just take a look at Uma Musume. It is a very good game with attention to every character that even if you don't understand Japanese, you can enjoy the visual alone. The concert is definitely the eye candy of every race.
So I'm sure that Re:Link will definitely be a very great game, more so to fans of the OG mobile game
just noticed the hero have a different armor at 3:00 with more metal plate, pretty cool to see it will get different appearance !

Seems like the re-engine and the new combat worth of delay. I also would willing to pay if they make the MC classes as skin, Djeeta in Relic buster oufit would be dope!
Narmaya main confirmed. It's been 7 long years, I look forward to hearing the release date. The game looks so good, a game I definitely want to support 100% like Monster Hunter.

Does the game take place after the anime/mobile game, or is it a separate canon?
Once the story reaches a certain point in the mobile game, the story will split and Relink will take place in the same area.
It looks the main characters (Katalina, Rackam, etc) used are post second arc, so from the Nalhegrande skydom, they went to Zegagrande which Re:Link story takes place.

That seems like a good guess. I assume they would want to make use of all the summer gaming events, and their own festivals for pre-release promotion.

Yeah, they'll be holding it from May - August in various places across Japan this year. I assume they'll do things at US/EU gaming events too.

As someone who knows nothing about Granblue Fantasy: Is there an Archer type character I could get my hopes up high to be playable???
Metera is likely in the game as she was shown years ago somewhere. Cannot remember when though. She is a bow wind magic user

Metera was shown off in an older build of the game, and she's a bow user. Though this was a looong time ago and we haven't seen her ingame since, so I'd say wait till she's officially confirmed
There are many archers in Granblue Fantasy, Metera, her sister Sutera, the Strongest on the Sky Sorn. etc

Friend showed me this and I'm still hyped for this game though seeing a certain big breasted shortstack cow hottie with a sword was easily on my list of yep yep yep definitely sold lol. Still hyped!
The only thing I didn't like about the gameplay they showed are the instanced missions. It feels like a cheap mmo or like monster hunter world missions worked. Why they didn't make a fully open world game?? I just hope those are only side missions.
Instanced missions are a separate mode.
The problem here is the setting, if they want to make an 'open world' game, it will be 80% skyship sailing with 20% ground combat. Each island is separated and sometime need days to go from an island to the others.

So essentially we still have very little. With all due respect to the developers, its passed the point of patience. Enough there NEEDED to be a launch date. Where the hell is it. They have literally had years...not more well sometime this year. That gives way to much time to say well we are going to wait until 2024.

I want to be hyped but the game has been around for so long that it's hard for me. The fact that after all this time there is still no definitive release date even with having a demo and stuff just kills my hype. I expect this game to be out like December 31 of 2023 at this rate or another delay

I completely agree the very fact there was no release date is completely hype killing. There is zero point to out any intrest in a game that has been dangling out there for years and still after a event they still cant give a day. I feel like they are straight up trolling at this point.
@@1223optimus there is some talk about the game truly develop when platinum left in 2020 that cause cygame create a game studio (cygames osaka) and develop it in-house with new engine (while porting what can be moved from old build to new engine).
I dont mind to buy this game.
