- Here is another Taylor Swift reaction. This time the song Karma. We love Karma. Even though we old guys don't really believe in Karma, it is fun to see things happen that we call Karma. It is getting what is coming to you good or bad. This song was fun because Taylor sings about what Karma will come to the one who hurts her.
It was a catchy song for sure. It brought about good discussion as well.

You're absolutely right. Taylor has hundreds of unreleased songs sitting in "the vault". She's been releasing a handful from each album's "era", as she re-records and releases her first six albums.
Also, fun fact. This video is CHALK FULL of easter eggs that only seasoned Swifties could possibly pick up on. For example, I mentioned above that she is re-recording and releasing her first six ablums, because the masters to the original albums were sold by her label from underneath her. We refer to the re-recorded albums as "Taylor's Version", because now owns them. At the end of the video, she can be seen carrying a coffee cup with a clock in it. The blue fingernail represents the color of her '1989' era, and it's aligned with 8 o'clock on the mug. The black nail represents her 'Reputation' era, and is aligned with 2 o'clock. We got the announcement for '1989 Taylor's Version' during the 8th month of this year, so there's a popular theory that this is an easter egg that 'Reputation Taylor's Version' will be announced in February of next year (the 2nd month -- hence, why the black fingernail is aligned with 2 o'clock).
Confusing, I know. 🤣 Us Swifties have too much time on our hands and Taylor knows it. That's just one example, for this particular video. There are so many others, that Taylor said her team has a PDF full of Easter Eggs, because she couldn't keep track of them all.
You guys are stuck in the old days. Taylor had been in a long-term 6-year relationship, but they recently broke up, and apparently, it was amicable. Now back to Karma which was mainly about Scooter Braun who bought her first 6 albums out from under her. Also, Scott Brochetta of Big Machine who she had been with since she was 16 yr. didn't let her buy them, she was offered for every new album she put out she would get one old one back, and she would have been tied to him for a very long time. So she turned him down and she walked away from Big Machine, so Scott turned around and sold Big Machine Records including all of Taylor's albums, to Scooter. Now, Kanye did Taylor dirty 3 times, at the VMAs where he took the mic and announced that Beyonce had the better MV, that was the first time. Down the road she forgave him, but then Kanye asked Taylor to be the presenter of an award he was getting, she accepted, and when she did so, Kanye, announced that she was there for the network to boost ratings, that was the 2nd time. A few years go by and Kanye calls her up and says he is writing a song and he was going to have a lyric about her in his song Famous, so he told her about what he wanted to sing, one of them was about him sing he and Taylor might have sex (not verbatim here). When the song came out, he sang "I made that bit@h famous, she let it be known she was not okay with that. Well, Kanye had recorded their conversation, but he and Kim edited the tape and put it out there, next thing you know people joined the hate train, calling her a liar and a snake, Kim started it, it was so bad that Taylor disappeared for a year. Meanwhile, Taylor took her lemons and made lemonade, her album Reputation came out, and she used the snake as part of her aesthetic. Taylor during that time period met Joe Alwyn a British actor, and she was in that long-term relationship until this past winter. Anyway, while with him she wrote a new album called "Lover" when the pandemic hit, and she put out more albums, folklore, evermore, they were called the sister albums, and recently Midnights. So a good majority of the new music from Reputation and on was totally different from her earlier albums. Also, Joe co-wrote some of the songs on her newer albums (the last 3) under the pen name William Bowery. So it is not all about breakup songs, that is so old news. Taylor has been re-recording her first 6 albums and they are called Taylor's Version (TV) to reclaim her music. So, Karma is for those that did her dirty.
i always thought that "karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me" was about joe because he's an actor so she's saying that she has a great bf which means this song can't be about an ex but these guys wouldn't know that. when people react and do not know taylor's backstories, they usually have the song theme wrong.
@@bammmitsrachel You are correct, but I didn't get into that part, I merely gave them information about the downside of karma and hopefully changed their preconceived ideas about Taylor.

Being able to relax, have a trusting relationship - romantic or otherwise, live in the moment to appreciate your cat or a breeze instead of being tied in knots...it's a gift.

Taylor does have songs where she takes accountability/admits her own faults. She doesnt just blame the guys.. only when its warranted, lol... Anyways, some song examples: Back To December, I Wish You Would, Afterglow, The Archer, this is me trying, betty, anti-hero, Castles Crumbling, The Great War
Karma is about the people who did her dirty. Her biggest enemy we can say is scooter bruan who stole her masters and was part of her bullying gang in 2016. Eventually all of the people who did her dirty have gotten the karma back (quite literally)

This song is not about her relationship... It's about the people (her record label mainly) who did her dirty to sabotage her career.
I'm done with the mainstream media music. I'm going to some $15 local concert's, free or other wise. I'm not afraid to buy a few CD's either. LOL
