The reason why I like Daniel is bc he cuts through the bullshit. I probably would not want to be around him all the time. But, we all need someone who can call us on our shit. Louis needs that.

The dream at the end was real. He says earlier in the episode that he keeps dreaming about that night of the first interview... But he wakes up in the middle of the dream everytime... And so the scene at the end of the episode was a way to resolve that little plot line by showing what his brain kept waking him up before he was able to see it ....and it's the fact that Rashid was there that night in 1973... And looks the SAME age as he does in current day. You're going to have to continue watching the show to find out what that means!
Iwtv is not about the action, I’d say) it’s more about the quality of acting, music, ambience, and feelings.
I related to Claudia a lot this episode, as someone who has had domestic abuse in their family, I also wouldn't want my "parents" to get back together after all that. Louis forgave Lestat but Claudia never did, and she doesn't have to. Her protectiveness over Louis and hatred for Lestat was the natural next step. I'm on team Claudia over any other vampire.

SEASON 2 SPOILERS!!!!!! DON'T READ: What are you talking about?? Lestat started it by attacking Claudia and Louis went to defend her. Even in Lestats version (which obviously isn't the whole truth) Louis say "you started, it you finish it" AND Lestat admits his actions were wrong. You can love Lestat (we all do) but he was absolutely in the wrong. Louis shouldn't have continued it, though, but as powerful as Lestat is, I'm sure he could have handled Louis better. The man dropped him from the sky. If he wanted the fight to end, all he had to do was float of into the sky and it would be over.
“Maybe Daniel isn’t so annoying after all” 😂😂😂😅 yeahhhh he was a cutie in the 70s and that definitely informs my opinion of current Daniel haha :’3 but also if you read Devil’s Minion from Queen of the Damned… it’s hard not to love him after reading that :’) at least in my opinion…. 👀🔥

Just now realizing these are wayyyy backdated-- unless you meant it was Big Eid. Are you watching the season 2 as the episodes are coming out? When I tell you I am so nervous for tomorrow's new episode, I feel like I'm gonna be sick. I saw some spoilers and I want to DIE. So much PAIN. Anyway, great reaction as usual. I laughed my ass off when you were like, "Wait, hollup, maybe Daniel isn't that annoying ...." 💀 I totally get it though. His flat affect often doesn't work for me acting-wise, but in season 2 i think he's hit a stronger stride. I'm so stressed out for Louis all the time, though. He just makes all the mistakes I would. Because he understands people, he let's them take advantage which I feel like a lot of people who are a little more focused on themselves find irritating to watch and don't relate to. It's not stupidity tho, it's just empathy lol. I hate mostly that it's hurting Claudia indirectly. I feel ike a big theme for Louis is that he's passively suicidal, and has been since episode 1 when he wanted to die after Paul's death-- which sucks if you're a vampire bc there's no real way of dying unless you walk into the sun and burn up, set yourself on fire, drink dead blood, or are beheaded and your body is moved away from your head-- so he's just gotta Endure™.
If you are not familiar with the books, you will not understand fully what is going on between Daniel and Louis interview. Daniel , in present day, is a seasoned writer and interviewer. The series is a lot closer to the books than the 1994 film.
It was hard to watch Louis heal from his wounds then suffer severe depression. I was wondering if Lestat loves Louis and wanted to prove how he changed. Why did he keep seeing Antoinette and wanted to be caught? Did anyone else heartbreak when Louis described his love? “I loved her with all my heart and him with a wounded one.” He was so dissociative during the love scene and it was sad. Do you think he slept with Louis to help him feel better because he was depressed? Any thoughts?
Lestat hadn't turned Antoinette in the hotel scene. Her eyes were still boring and that finger isn't gonna grow back. Enjoy you!
