So this is the first time seeing them accept the award....I legit started bawling when he said they talked about disbanding. When he said that I realized how happy they make me and the fact the fact that they might even be together right now made me so sad that my main happiness could have ended. I know someday it might happen but right now I need them in my life.

The fact that Tae broke down after Jin said they considered disbanding hurts my heart. He lost his friends, he lost his grandparents, and the thought of disbanding he didn't want to lose his brothers and it just makes me cry. Tae baby, no matter what, even if you disband, BTS will always be BTS even after disbandment and ARMY will always be with you no matter what.

Emaan She was not assuming. Tae is really attached to his family(including friends). He lost a lot friends, he lost both grandparents and now he was going to lose 6 guys that have been like a family to him for so many years. This is not about assuming what's on his mind, it's about stating the obvious. Taehyung isn't someone who cries that easily, you can see it in a lot of videos, which means that what Jin mentioned really affected him. Tae is always the first one to think about BTS, he always said they're like a family to him and always want to spend good times with them. So I sincerely believe that's the reason why he broke down. He's probably the most hated member of BTS and everyone keep trying to pretend that's not true. If I was there and had to deal with all of that, I would have cried too.
Hoseok crying really gets to me, I know he wants to stay positive for us but you can tell he struggles a lot as well.

❤️ what annoys me is that you will still get people who hate BTS for no reason without even knowing how much struggles they go through. Most groups disband due to unpopularity and old age but imagine a group personally wanting to disband because of how popular they are and because of how overworked they are. I don't like to compare but BTS are arguably the hardest working Kpop group as of 2018. And people still refuse to see their efforts.
Best Of Kpop the more popular someone is the more hate they get. It really sucks. It’s sad that they’re dealing with all this pressure now. I mean it just goes to show that a person can have everything and be on top of the world and still feel unhappy. I don’t ever wanna see the fame suck the life out of them as it tends to do. I hope they continue enjoying what they do because if this passion disappears, then the magic disappears too.
if you see all the popular artists get into drugs in order to cope with the pressure or they break down really really bad and BTS are so humble and innocent their popularity rose very quickly, the pressure becomes bigger, the whole world is watching them... I love them so much. I wish real armys will always be there to support them and protect them from antis. BTS is the only group I care about, I will support them until the end.

@Snakeu and jams but i also feel we can go easy on thm.we can only imagine how mentally exhausting their life is. With fame not only does hate comes but expectations too. I feel like they sometimes do want to live a normal life like how every other people do. Like it's okay if we don't get contents. They really go out of their way to make us happy
At this point thy do need a long break and some time to relax. Pressure to be in the spotlight with people watching everything you do and expecting so much is mentally so exhausting

I read that tae was so upset he was shaking.and thats why they werent running around at the end with the other groups.
i was waiting for them to come but they didnt show up like what they did in Japan. but i kinda understand and got it. im literally shooked until now.
I knew after that they would not have been able to come back on stage. I have never seen Taehyung cried so openly at an award show. He tried his hardest to hold it in, but after Hobi they all just let go. It was so emotional. When Hobi started, I was crying too, then the rest started, I was done.✨

@@stickyfinger8975 I think it is more like tears of painful memories and relief that they didn't end up disbanding. For V, maybe it is a sense of regret. I have watched him in pain in various performance occasions and he was no longer his jolly carefree old self so I think he probably was the one who wanted out. I do have a theory in my mind, but I don't want to share it publicly here, for the sake and love of BTS.
@@stickyfinger8975 it's not really all tears of joy. its more tears of like realizing how hard and emotionally exhausting it actually was but they were able to regain strength and stand on that stage again with aoty. so we dont exactly know what tears those were but it certainly werent just tears of joy. its rather a mix of whatever was going through their heads righ there on stage.

Being so tired both mentally and physically to the point that they considered disbanding breaks my heart. I have no words
I saw a tweet lately that said we as fans should take this opportunity provided by the boys who were honest and raw with us to reassess ourselves as individuals. I know my dependency on Bangtan is unhealthy.... I look to them to make me happy when I'm sad or bored or lonely, I relied on them to carry me through my depression... I worry now that I'm putting pressure on them. I want to walk with them for the next 7 years not needing them to hold my hand through my trials. I just want to walk with them and be there as their fan, as their friend. I love them so much and the way the confession about thinking to disband hit me today really makes me want to pause and reflect. It feels like I wasn't able to understand how much I truly loved them until Seokjin said that and now I can see the amount of love I have for them in me that I couldn't see before.... We don't deserve them.
I think they rely on us as much as we rely on them. They say we are their reason for living and we say that they have saved our lives and we cant live without each other. I have never seen such a relationship like this between artist and fans. It is dangerous. It can be unhealthy if either we or them rely too much on each other for happiness. This relationship is kind of described in the song Pied Piper. They want us to live our lives and be independent but at the same time they know we need them and they need us. Soooo true, they helped me through very difficult times , but as much as they support us and show us their love we can't be completely dependent on that, they have their own struggles too.
@@melissa_5444 You are so right. I am going through a very bad time right now and BTS is honestly the only thing getting me by. I have no one else and I know it's unhealthy. I am trying my best to get myself to place where like you, we can walk together without me relying on them for everything. This year was especially hard so the thought that they would have ended blows my mind. I don't know what I would have done, or would do. I think the whole fandom got a reality check, but this is good. It will help people to seriously look at their lives and try to create one filled with joy in all different areas and not put the burden on these dear boys.
We deserve them, because they take such joy & pleasure into putting out material with a conscience and love. We need only to do the same for them, support their videos,music etc. BTS fills a void for you and that part of what they represent, to see\make army happy. You recognise your attachment to them so its something you can do about it.. I must say you are not alone, I am Army and I am constantly viewing videos,listening to their songs on my playlist. I even have their names as various passwords (really) so I get the connection. After this speech tonight, netizens & fans need to regroup how they reach out to them, they are people first, artist second and have emotions and difficulties just like us, it would be so heartbreaking if they disbanded simpley because they thought they were not doing enough to make fans\army happy. we have to show them otherwise. Humans make mistakes, so if they dancing and out of step, so what, if they sing out of tune, so what, we still love them& support them. That's all
They helped me too with my depression I owe them everything. Not Today was recommended to me on youtube on the same day I was going to just end it all and I am still here a year and half later. They come into peoples lives when they need it the most. They were and still are my 7 angels. #ThankYouBTS....Yes they saved me but I don't sleep and drink BTS. They need to focus on what is going on inside of them first because they are human also they go through everything that we do. Yes we sure do relate to them I relate to Suga and Tae the most really because I had 3 family members pass a couple months from eachother and I struggle with as I have said before depression and anxiety like Suga, but they need to be themselves if they need a break the need a break they have to be selfish which I know they can't which i hope someday they will be and take a nice long break to breath and do what they want to do. I would like to buy them a drink and tell them thank you.

BTS will disband someday, and honestly I’m ok with that, I love them so fkn much-I’ve never loved a person I’ve never met before I discovered BTS and I never thought it’d be to this extent- but life moves on and I know they all have individual dreams they’d like to accomplish so 😕 as long as they’re happy then I’m happy for them. However, even though I hate to see them cry, I’m glad that they shared this with us. It’s hard being at the top and having all those eyes on you. I think it took guts for them to open themselves up like this in front of us, and the other groups watching them. ✊🏽

I agree with this I just hope that when they do disband it is because they’re ready for the next step in their lives and not because they feel overwhelmed, overworked or lost or whatever they were feeling early this year. I will always support them no matter what. This did give me a wake up call though because I cannot base all my happiness on them. That is unfair to them and it is unfair to me. I need to start figuring out how to make myself happy so that when they do disband it does not hit me as hard as today did. I’m still a mess.
Ariana aww, I’m glad that this happened now though, so that we can all collectively support them now and be prepared for when they really do disband. I’ve been scrolling thru my twitter tl and there seem to be a lot of Army’s who feel like you-like they were basing too much of their happiness on BTS.
Tbh, I can’t really relate too well to that feeling. I love BTS, they’re the only group of people that I’ve ever spent money on-merch,the only concert I’ve ever gone to, I even made a twitter account to celebrate Namjoon’s birthday when I first discovered them,but I don’t think I’ve ever depended on THEM specifically to make me happy. I’ve been happy for them, and seeing them enjoying themselves is an awesome sight but I’ve always kept my “Army stan” life pretty separate from my actual life 🤔 so I know that even when they disband I’ll still have things in my life to keep me busy.
I’m so happy to see that so many people love them now (I’ve been a fan since 2015). I know how many lives they’ve impacted and I’m so excited to see them prosper 💕
Devin C. I think the reason for me (can’t speak for others) depending on them so much is because when I found them I was in such a dark place in my life I had literally nothing to on for and they quite literally saved my life. That’s where the codependency started for me and I guess I never really stopped to think how unhealthy that is. I’m am forever grateful for them and their music but I think it’s time I take a step back and figure myself out.
Ariana 😭😭 good luck to you fam✊🏽 I think the key is to just find the right type of balance ya know? It’s more than ok to love BTS w/o really knowing them (lord knows I do lmao 😂) but it’s important to remember that, at the end of the day, we’re just 2 of their many fans. They love us and we love them but they also expect us to grow with them so changes will happen within the fandom and the group along this next seven year journey ♥️ not always good changes but the growth that blooms from these obstacles is the important bit :)
And all the old ass ARMYs will be at the reunion concert watching them try to run their ancient butts around on stage for one last go. Haha can only imagine old man Jin then... oh god those joke are gonna get reeeeally bad. Lol

They didn't think about disbandment bc of physicall exhaustion. It was ONLY mental struggles, they are doing what no other kpop group has done and handling all this fame is hard. They had to decide if they wanted another 7 years of this and were anxious bc they are always afraid that this success will be short lived. So let's prove them right for trusting us and making this choice. We have to make the next years even more successful for them.
I legit watched this in tears. I think it’s the hardest I’ve ever cried while watching an awards show. I love Bangtan with everything I am. 💜💜💜

The moment that Tae and Hobi broke down, I absolutely lost it. The fact that we almost lost them makes my heart hurt BAD. I'm going to enjoy them being here as much as I can now. I really hope that they can get rest and breaks too. They deserve some time to relax. They've done so much for us and it's the sweetest thing ever.

I am balling my eyes out! It immediately started when Hobi started crying. And then when Jin said they had considered disbanding at the beginning of this year, I lost it. I can’t imagine my life without BTS. They have helped me so much and deserve everything. I’m so glad they won this award 💜

I started crying my eyes out even before J hope started breaking down. I am really not okay...
I watched this live and it tugged at my heart. I didn't understand a word, but I cried right along with them. Tae completely tore me apart and when I read the english, it made me cry even more. They are just so humble and so appreciative for everything they receive. Now you see why people said you need tissues?
This shows how powerful BTS’ passion is for what they are doing. And I’m not only talking about music or performance. They love ARMY and chasing dream as a family.
From a business perspective they could have just quit because of all the money they’ve earned . They could have invested in other things, and leave this competitive world full of criticism and hate, BUT they did’nt. Instead they gave everything to their dream, believe, love and passion.
Bts have taught me to follow my dreams, never mind failures, keep running and love myself step by step. I can’t express how much they mean to me and how different they are than others in the industry.

This really hit me hard like the boys want to give us so much happiness while they were going through so much difficulties that we didn't even know about like almost disbanding it breaks my heart. I know our boys are strong and will face any adversity. I hope they know armys will always be beside them no matter what 💜
I honestly felt so gutted when Seokjin started speaking. To hear that they suffered like that is just heart wrenching. I just hope with my whole heart that they're happy, that they're healthy and that they're safe. As much as I want them to stay with us for as long as possible, I want their happiness and well-being far, far more. I appreciate everything they've given us, but this immense pressure they're under isn't a sustainable way to live. They're only human. They're still young boys. I can't imagine what this is like.
I just hope they're in a happier place now, especially since they've renewed their contracts, and I hope this next year they (and ARMY) prioritize rest and happiness above anything else. Take care of yourselves boys, we love you so much💜

I watched this while it was live and I didn't understand anything but after seeing with subtitles I couldn't stop crying :( I can't believe they thought about disbanding... They seemed alright but after all they were so bad mentally. It really makes me sad since I can't do anything to make them feel better.. But I'm happy they didn't give up, that's why I love them so much. They don't give up.

I was watching the MAMAs live on the V App this morning and let me tell you something, the moment Hobi started crying, I started crying, and couldn’t stop crying! The fact that Jin spoke up about it in front of millions of people really shocked me! I’m so so proud of them for sticking together through all the pressure they’re under, it must be really hard for them to live up to fans’ expectations all the time, I can’t even imagine it! Seeing the way Taehyung broke down on camera showed that they really care for one another and they are so so close and it shows how personal it was for Jin to speak about the possible disbandment. I’m just so happy that they were able to pull through. Congratulations to BTS and great job to ARMY for helping them get here! Team work makes the dream work 💜

This literally broke my heart! I couldn't stop thinking about how many times they hid their pain from us just so we wouldn't worry. Jin being open about the fact that they thought about disbanding.... is proof right there for anyone who doubted that bts is honest with army and completely genuine. I’m always touched in the things that they say anywhere on any show or in this case in an award speech... bc most groups WILL NEVER be this open and honest about something like that until years later. He really had no reason to tell us that except to show how important not only that award was... but that we are to them and they fight their way things mentally and physically all the time... but they trust us and know.. we love and support them through it all... becoming that safety blanket bc they are not 7 with us. I fully believe that shit and you can’t change my mind.

I feel so much rn.
They are even a bigger inspiration to me now, I have struggled with depression, some anxiety, not loving myself up to the point of self loathing and I also lost my mother almost 3 years back...
They have been there the whole time, I need them, this October I finally got to see them live after being a huge ARMY since Boy in Luv era.
It was scary because I travelled to a country I didn't know on my own, but for them it was all worth it, I'm glad I pushed through.
I am so happy that Jin felt like he could tell us, it is very personal and he just told us because he believes we deserve to know...
Taehyung's tear is the most expensive water in the world. Every tear that he let out is th happiness and joy for us. They've been a lot of challenge through this year and they deserve to receive Daesang. Jin said that they've been thinking about disbanding is really heart breaking. I'm glad that they've boosted up after this and continue their career for us and we'll support them till the end if their contract. BTS is there for ARMY and ARMY is there for BTS too.

This true, open, sincerity, and the depth of their passion for their work is why BTS have become global superstars in my opinion. People often ask, why is BTS so big? What makes these guys so special ? The answer to this question is difficult to articulate, but this right here, goes a long way to explaining why these 7 men have made such an impact on their fans, and why so many fans have carved out a special place for BTS in their hearts.
That this group, that has become a refuge and comfort for millions of people around the globe, of all ages and races, are still willing to battle mental and physical exhaustion while willingly living a tightly controlled and highly restricted life, all to repay the loyalty and love of the fans who elevated them to such heights, when cashing out is the easy option is admirable. Achieving greatness is no easy thing, despite how effortless these guys make it look, so here's hoping for even greater success in 2019!

I was watching the show live at work and i didn't realise what the were talking about at the time, of course I understood it was something deeper than just the award from their reactions. Once I got home and found the eng subs I completely lost it, I´ve been crying constantly for 2 hours. I love them SO much, WE love them so much. It´s frustrating in a way, I think many of you can relate, to not be able to psychically and personally hug them, comfort them and tell them how much we TRULY appreciate and love them. But at the same time we all know that they know we do, and we know that they love us. I did not expect to find another family at the age of 18 almost exactly a year ago but that´s exactly what happened. I found our boys and army and even though this recent year has been the hardest year mentally for me in my entire life I´m starting to find a path out of it, thanks to them and army. We truly are a family somehow, a big one, despite our differences. I love you all

I don't think there is a True Army with a purple heart that can watch/listen to this acceptance speech and NOT cry from the honesty, passion, humility, and love pouring from their hearts. You cannot help but be touched if you have a soul. I STILL cry when I see it, even though I've seen it at least a dozen times.
One of the reason they considered disband, I think, is because this year is the fifth year since BTS made their debut. There's a common saying in Korean Idol industry. "Idol band never last more than 5 years" It's like Murphy's Law.
Jin set off an ocean of tears with his words. Like I said under the video itself, I never cry for these kinds of moments, I'm just uber happy for them and tell them not to cry when they're accepting it, and that we love them, but when Seokjin said that, and I saw Taehyung break down, it got to me.I'm so ready to push these boys further up the road of success. And I'm just so happy they decided to stay for us, for themselves. It's only the beginning.
I never truly realized how much BTS meant to me until today. And now I do. They mean the world to me. They saved my life. I literally was ready to end it all. And then one CZcams search for DNA, just out of curiosity, and that was it, my life changed entirely and they saved me. They are my life now.
And what Jin said broke me down, because if they would've disbanded before April, I would've never found them, and I probably wouldn't be here. Just all of those thoughts made me cry for almost an hour straight. I didn't smiled, or laughed, I even didn't eat until like 6 hours after the show ended because how powerful was what Jin said.

Watching Jhope crying is like a knife stabbing to my heart. I only have seen him crying once and that was only when his father greeted him happy birthday. And this is the second time i seen him crying so hard. Why does it matter? Because he's JHope. He's the most cheerful person in BTS. That's why I cried hard with him seeing him crying. I wish i could hug them one by one and tell them that everything's gonna be alright and ARMY is always stand high and low with them. And God bless these men because they are truly humble kings. Although they have done many concerts all over the world but they still feel nervous about going to the stage and think about 'What ifs..' situation. They were in disbelief that they're the recipient of this award. Oh my so humble. All ARMY were like 'Pffft.. Who else is deserve to receive this award if not you guys'. Sigh. So low key. Why i support BTS from day 1 (debut day) until today is because of their hard work (and of course many other things). Please do not compare BTS with other boy bands. BigHit is just a small company. Nobody is looking at BTS. They were talked down and looked down by many groups and companies. They had hard time to go on TV show. Their struggle is real. Their hardship is real. And when Jin said about disbandment, oh my God..I cried so hard. Normally other groups are disbanded due to lack of popularity or scandals whatever. But it is a different case with BTS. They were considering to disbanding due to the pressure and the fames that they're getting from the whole wide world. They have become the center of attention. Now everybody knows who BTS is. As an ARMY i personally hate when people start to compare them with other groups. Don't get me started. I could actually write a book about it. Pffftt! And the fact that BTS always prioritise ARMY eventually creates a special bond that nobody could understand.
ARMY all over the world (Korea or International ARMY), thank you for your love and support. Please keep on supporting and loving our boys. They need us. And we need them. BTS ARMY is one. Jimin said he wanted to receive this award again at the same place next year. So you know what to do. What BTS wants, BTS gets. Keep on supporting them wherever you are. And don't forget to stream their MVs.

thank you Jose. this was such an important thing to say, and I think it's something so many fans completely missed. it seems like many fans were just... sad? after seeing the speech? and I understand that it may be a wake-up call for some people regarding just how hard the boys' lives are, and it's scary to think of what-ifs and might-haves. but that's not why I cried when I watched.
what they told us was incredibly powerful, and more importantly, it was a thing of joy and relief. they had a burden to lay down on that stage and you could practically see the weight coming off of them. I've felt that same thing, and at the time, I also cried from the joy of my burden being relieved. it made my heart glad to see them get to experience that after so many hardships. that is powerful, and the decision to continue together is powerful, and Jin feeling free enough to tell the world about all of it on an international broadcast is the most powerful thing of all.

I really started to cry again at 11:23 their relationship with us is really special, i've been a part of a fandom before discovering bts and I was a part of it for 5years, never have I felt anything that could come close to how I feel now while stanning bts, they don't make music to break records, or to become more famous and successful or to earn more money, they truly embody the message of bighit 'music and artists for the healing'. they're so genuine, a bunch of seven 21+ years old guys who truly want to have a positive impact on the world and who want to comfort people and to unite them and make them feel less alone thought their music, their message is so positive and bright, they're always spreading around so much love and positivity and I truly admire and respect them for this. Their bond with us is so special because they dont see us as 'simple fans' they see us as friends, people that connect with them through their music and feelings, they're always so open about their feelings with us and share so much of their personal thoughts with us, hearing them talk openly about their struggles and about how they thought of disbanding made me realize just how sincere they've always been with us, I hope people will start to realize how amazing, genuine and pure those 7 men are and will stop to take for granted moments like these, where they're baring their hearts and feelings for us to see.

Okay, I was reflecting... what was going on at the beginning of the year that made them consider disband? maybe some personal stuff I obviously don't know that but we do know that :
-They just got done with the wings tour 40 concerts in total, spanning from February-December of 2017 thats 9 months of being on tour as well as 21 different cities in 13 countries (so take into account plane flights/time differences/overall exhaustion)(promotions for love yourself "Her" album happening at the same time)
-in November of 2017 they attended the AMA's (in between the tour) (doing interviews Ellen/kimmel etc..)
-Mic drop ft.Steve Aoki was also released in November of 2017 /-uniceff campaign project
-mma/mama 2017 December / mic drop Japanese version released
-continue shooting run BTS 2018/ vogue phototshoot
-Fake love MV may 2018 and bbma 2018 love yourself "tear" released
IT kinda makes sense that they were struggling I mean who wouldn't be with such a hectic schedule, Really what I'm tryna say here is BIGHIT give'em a break
I hope we ARMY and BTS can become (even) closer, so we can support them even more.
But the fact that Jin told this information to us is giving me hope for that. I just wish they would also take a break at some point, doesn't have to be a long one, but one where they can relax.
I feel like the industry and the pressure they are in could make a very healthy person mentally troubled at some point, also the constant pushing of their physical limits as well, I know I wouldn't be able to handle it at all.
They are so strong, so dedicated and so sweet towards ARMY and everyone, but they are also people and I hope they won't feel like they cannot take a breather because of us or our expectations, even if majority of ARMY wouldn't mind to begin with.

*hugs too* I watched it live (yay for some eng subs) and they already got me emotional with the VCR (I mean yes Army knew about some of their doubts, but to put it in a VCR that even million of non-Army watch felt even more raw) and then that award speech happened T_T
Ugh I hope they got all the hugs & cuddles afterwards.
I know that their perfectionism and drive are what made & keeps them so successful, but sometimes I wish they had just a tinyyyy bit less of it.
In the sense that it makes me sad that they still overwork & pressure themselves so much in their goal to always give us their best, as if we would love them less after a not perfectly executed performance ^^ (I know there are haters out for their blood, but I'm talking about Army and we wouldn't just drop them)
They at least should give themselves some time to breath & relax.
Anyway, since they signed on for 7 more years I hope the support they have for each other and their team around them keeps them healthy & happy.
(also, same to the try-not-to-cry-headache lol)
