This is the most terrifying kills out of all the Equalizer films. This shows not only Mr McCall can be very effective at executioning, he can be torturous to people that hurt people who are close to him.

I am just CHEERING for Denzel here like a fool. But it goes deeper than this character. I’m thinking about his character in Spike Lee’s Mo’ Betta Blues…that journey, all those years ago, to now, and everything in between. And I am cheering for Denzel. Not just for taking care of the garbage here, but for a brilliant career entertaining us all. YES, Denzel.
I always think of him as the rookie cop stripping down to his skivvies in that movie ricochet… a beretta in the but beats a butterfly in the boot 😂

The music in this scene is handled masterfully, especially the requiem at the end but I do hope the statuary were plaster casts... even in the movie.

The mafia boss transported a lot of drugs into Italy. Denzel filled him with those same drugs, so the mafia boss died from the very thing he desired.

I think that to portray Denzel’s character as a sadistic killer ruined it irrevocably. He was supposed to be administering justice, not to be a butcher. I hate a botched job- like this script. For example, the religious references are completely wasted. It could have climaxed like this-
*The scene in which Denzel confronts the Mafia boss*
*Denzel picks two knives from the dead mafiosi. He finds the Mafia Boss and bashes his head against a saint’s statue that breaks off*
*Denzel lifts the limp body of the Mafia Boss who is conscious* [Extreme close- up on the Boss’ crucifix] *Denzel says* ‘You know everything about death, don’t you? Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me…’ *Denzel drives one of the knives into his right palm pinning it to the wall saying* ‘… your rod…’ *Denzel drives the other knife through his left palm saying* ‘…and your staff. They confort me’. *Denzel takes another look at the Boss now agonising crucified to the wall and says* ‘In the name of all the fathers and the sons you have killed. Amen’.
*Denzel joins the procession in the street, sneaks close to the statue, and wipes the blood off his hands on the back of the long garment covering Mary’s statue. The crowd falls silent but keeps walking. Bells ring in the distance*
PS- Lose the poisoning, Denzel’s character is not a Borgia woman.
PPS- Use for end credits AC|DC’s song ‘Hell’s Bells’.

Have to agree on that. Before I get into that. I must say Denzel was killing it in every scene he was in. That goes to show Denzel's dedication to his craft. Man, is the best of the best when it comes to acting. However, the script was definitely not an Equalizer story. One can easily compare the first two movies and this movie. It is very palpable that Equalizer 3 has a very different McCall than the first two movies. Even the theme song got changed. I was expecting the classic McCall theme song to play instead it was something else. The original theme song made you feel like it was a hero that did not want to kill but did it when he had no choice. However, this theme song makes it feel like he is a butcher, like you said.
