When ever I see this show, the first thing that comes to mind is... HOW THE HELL DO THEY GET THE MONEY TO DO THIS?!
most of the husbands and dads do a lot of hard labor work, like construction, paving driveways, and landscaping. the stereotype is that they're scam artists, will give you an estimate of one price, and then halfway through the job give you an even higher estimate and if you refuse to pay they will leave the job half done and looking like shit. so you're basically forced to pay what they want, which is way more than you wanted to pay. they usually live in trailers and RVs so they can travel around, and so they save on rent/mortgages and other bills and even paying taxes in some cases. weddings and parties are the number one priority and they will spend thousands upon thousands for those special days. the most definitely goes towards the wedding dress.
